RE: Caroline I. Green
FYI, there was a Caroline I. Green, born 17 Feb 1891, who died in Mount Clemens, Macomb, Michigan (outside Detroit) on 4 Nov 1990. Residence was listed as Mount Clemens at the time of death, per the Michigan Death Index.

Do you know Arthur's middle name/inital or date of birth?

RE: Elmwood Cemetery Detriot
Hi. I'd be surprised to learn that Elmwood has only 55k burials - the place is huge! I have been going section by section, taking photos of readable, locatable markers. If you find them there and have a burial location, let me know and I will make my way there sometime in the near future. If they are not there, do you know of any religous affliation? Regards.

Actually, Audra died in Montcalm County, MI. I learned that tidbit after my last communication with you. Clare, MI is in the middle of the state(about 3 hours from Detroit). Sorry that I couldn't be more help. I'm not familiar with Montcalm County to even be able to suggest a newspaper there. Good luck with your project;)

Here's a thought: did you contact the church? They could give you the funeral home that processed Audra's body. Then you could contact the funeral home and check about obit;)

St. Cecilia (989) 386-9862

Good luck! Betty

RE: St. Cecilia Cemetey Clare Co
I went to the Clare Library and looked through the Clare Sentinel July 27,2010 and Aug. 3,2010 issues. There were six obits in those two issues but none for Audra. There is one other source I will check out before I give up. The librarian suggested the obits have to now be paid for and perhaps at the time of Audra's death none of the family members actually paid to have an obit put into the newspapers. I told her (the librarian) that I really thought the funeral homes made the obit part of the "package". I'm still looking...
