The information I added came right from the tombstones, the rest came from you. I visit that cemetery quite often.
The reason I was asking was because my daughter (12 years old at the time) does historical reenactments and we were out in that cemetery for a "photo shoot" and I took what is my favorite photo of her in period clothes next to that monument....I thought maybe if it was your family you'd like to see the photo.

I was wondering if she was in your family tree?

Youre welcome. Yes, its large, but they know me, and it was actually not to difficult to find. I meant to add: Section 8, lot 227. Perhaps you'd like to do that.

The office does not have a listing for Frank A Safford. Perhaps you could check with the original person who posted the memorial to see if they have any information. I will delete the photo request unless you can find more information. Sorry I couldn't help. Perhaps the Frank C Safford listed on the back of the memorial is the actual Frank you are seeking.

1931 for the death date - There was a Frank C Safford on the rear of the marker whom I thought was the Frank A Safford you were looking for but the dates were totally different so I deleted the photo I had attached to the memorial. Apologies for that - I didn't check the dates before posting. I'll have to check with the office again to find Frank A. Linda

do you have any true resources, an Ancestry.tree isn't really a resource as people can make those however they want , a book, a history, clipping, old document etc would be best. If not I am happy to put the actual birth year in the bio as probable with a note that Trees on Ancestry indicate this.

You're very welcome. Happy to help. This was a very large, very crowded lot. I presume the angel sculpture once stood atop the column monument. There was one other small stone in this lot. The top was inscribed "PAPA" but it had sunk and the only inscription still visible was "IN MEMORY". I can send you that photo, as I am not sure to whom the stone belonged.

Thank you so very much for obtaining the photos I requested, and even more for the additional information you supplied on these distant relatives. You have provided details we likely would have never have found otherwise. Let me know if you need anything from the general area of Missouri/Illinos/Iowa and I'll see if I can return the favor.
Do you by chance know which of Adina's granchildren belong to which of her children? Please don't put much effort into finding out, you have gone far beyond what could be reasonably expected already. I just thought you might be able to recall from memory.

I was at the Bruynswick Rural Cemetery today. I found a John C Bruyn but the moss was so hard I could not scrape it to get his dates. Next time I go back I'll be more prepared. I did get pictures of other Bryun's buried there if your interested. I will be posting them over the next few days so keep checking back.
