RE: Solomon Goodrich
I don't remember the specific source. However, there is a transcript of headstones some of which are now missing from the cemetery, on file at the Crawford County Historical Society.

If you haven't been there or been in touch, CCHS is a resource you are going to want to seek out.

Robert Michael Johnson
RE: Marvin Hornbeck
Michelle,
I had the privilege of knowing Marvin by working with his Grandson Michael. We were team drivers together for 4 years and whenever we were near Tipp City we would always stop and see Marvin. I call him Marvin at his request, he didn't want a friend to address him as Mr. I have ate Lake Erie Perch, which he fried that was fantastic, we talked Cincinnati Reds baseball and talked of the late age at which he was drafted into World War 2. I knew immediately upon meeting Marvin of the strong work ethic and patriotic spirit he possessed and he instantly became one of my favorite people. Hope this helps! Sincerely Robert M . Johnson

Olga Pitsch
Hi!
I'm not sure if you remember, but I transferred Olga's entry to you about a year ago. If I remember correctly, at that time you had not yet found her cause of death. I may have stumbled on that information for you while looking for some of my family. Did you know that on Ancestry.Com they now have Pennsylvania Death Certificates online through 1944? For some reason Olga came to mind. I found her Death Certificate on that site under Olga Pitch. When you get on that website, click on SEARCH, then go down to Card Catalogue. When that screen comes up type in Pennsylvania where it says KEYWORD. You can then search by name, first and last, just last, etc. I wanted to pass this information along in the hope that it would help answer some questions for you. It has for us!

WIKGREN, Carl and Pauline @ Brooklyn-Crystal Cemetery MN
Hello,

I obtained updated information from the Brooklyn Historical Society pertaining to your photo requests for the Wikgrens :

[ The burial list has Pauline Wikgren (d. 01 Aug 1940, age 45) in lot 108, grave #9
and Carl Wikgren (d. 27 Oct 1951, age 63) in lot 112, grave #6
So, the burial list has them in a different lot then what you have (16).
I do not recall ever seeing a marker for the Wikgrens. Either way, the cemetery is not that big and it should not take long to locate them.
Lot 108 and 112 are on the right side toward the back. ]

Back on Feb 9 I tried to look for them, hoping theirs was a taller upright monument; but alas, no luck. There's just too much snow on the ground, with more coming. So until anyone can get into the cemetery this spring, I hope the burial info above is helpful! Also, you may want to revise your requests to let other volunteers in the area know about the two grave locations. BTW, "on the right side toward the back" is extremely helpful information.

Happy to Help,
LVaughn

Bowers
Hi,
My g-grandmother was a Bowers from Troy, Ohio. Her parents were from PA (Lewis Henry Bowers b abt 1827). I'd be interested in your Bowers research, as it might help me to figure out Lewis' parents. Please send me an email which is listed on my profile, if you are willing to help me with some of this research. Thank you!

RE: Pitsch family
That's neat. I will give her a big HI! When I take a photo of an old stone like Olga's I can't help but wonder if somebody is looking for them. It's so good to help someone unravel the roots of their family tree! Keep digging!

RE: Pitsch family
Thanks. I appreciate that, though I wouldn't have minded looking. Her stone interested me first because it was an older one and I wanted to get the photo while it was still readable and also because of the German written on it. There are alot of older graves where she is.

RE: Olga Pitsch
I will gladly transfer her to you. When I take photos I like to include all surrounding stones, especially those with the same name because I feel it makes it easier for the families and their research. However, I very easily could have missed somebody. The next time I am in that cemetery I will be glad to look for other family members for you.

Hi

I'll be happy to take as many as I can find. It's not that large a cemetery, so it shouldn't be a problem.
