RE: Elizabeth Sweeten FAG# 94645444
My husband and I are photographing, systematically, every inch of Forest Lawn instead of relying on the database.

Our efforts are turning up a lot of surprises.

Hello,

I just wanted to let you know that I just added the photo of Elizabeth Sweeten's (Find A Grave Memorial# 94645444) headstone to your memorial for her.

The stone isn't in the best of shape and it is located in one of the oldest sections of Forest Lawn.

You might try the transcriber for Find A Grave to see if you can make more of the writing out.

I used several different photo editors to try and make the image sharper to no avail.

How are you related to Theodore Sweeten? Did he have any children?
I am not related to the Sweeten linages, just doing some family research from old stories I have. We know him as Dory Sweeten and a sherrif of the town of Alkali which was changed to Arlington, Oregon.

Sweeten family
Hi Ben
I am related to the late Bedford Forest Sweeten. by chance do you know of him? His Mother was born in Georgia and his Father in Tenn. Bedford lived in Carroll Ark. And died there as well as an Emma Sweeten and her husband William Franklin Sweeten. I thought they could be his parents, but no mention anywhere. Emma was born in Georgia and William in Tenn.
Hopefully you may have some information.

Thank You

RE: Jane Martin Anderson Hester
I don't have my email address on my page due to some people sending threatening notes....if you can believe that. It is alkauz@gmail.com - I guess that is two of us then that don't know for sure who Jane married secondly, but not terribly important due to the fact that there were no children from that marriage I assume.
Jane's brother, Thomas, was my great grandfather. My grandmother did not talk about him much. She thought their father, Samuel Martin, came from southwestern Virginia. Samuel must have initially gone to Ohio first where he got married to Rebecca Sihock and then to DeWitt Co., Illinois. I can find no clue as to who Samuel's father was or where in Virginia he came from. My grandmother thought Samuel Martin was a Quaker.

I see where you took over the memorial for Edith A. Smith. Are you related to her or to her husband Virgil Allen Ring? I am related to Edith's mother Lillie Francis Hoagland...

Ben: We were in the vicinity visiting relatives and Find A Grave is our hobby and we saw a request for another grave stone photo in that cemetery, so we went there to take the photo. While at the cemetery we took other photos and that is why we happened to take this photo. I have no affiliation to the Earls and am transferring the memorial to you as you requested.

Thanks for giving the memorial a great home and thanks for being a Find A Grave contributor. I am currently living in the State of Washington and am unable to take the photo you requested, however you can make a photo request on the cemetery page. I'm sure there is someone in the area who may be available to take the photo. You could also contact the cemetery and see if they could take the photo for you.
Hugs,
Nan
