RE: Young family memorials

Thanks for your note. I also appreciate your memorial for your 2nd g-g-father Jacob Mallack Young. I am a 2nd g-g-son of Jacob's younger brother George Alpaugh Young. I have not created a memorial for George yet as I need to visit the cemetery where he is buried in Weatherly, PA and verify some facts first, which I hope to do soon. Once I add that, I think we will have memorials for all the Young siblings.

Sorry I have no information; just leave flowers anytime I visit a memorial. Someone must have directed me to it for some reason.

RE: WEST graves at Fair View Cem., Middletown, Monmouth Co., NJ

You will find that in those times there were very many children for a variety of reasons who did not make it beyond the first few years

There were so many diseases of which we are now aware - but back then they simply did not have the knowledge nor the medicine needed to save these angels

Mortality schedules were created - the mortality schedules would list the name of the person who died and in the case of children - the first name of the parents - and why the person died

There are mortality schedules for 1850 1860 1870 1880

If you are close to the National Archives you might view the schedules or if not then perhaps if you are a member of ancestry then you could view them there

Otherwise I think it would be most difficult to learn why the children died unless one can locate a family Bible which might indicate reason for death but most probably just the date of death

If these West people are part of your family please let me know

ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.

RE: Wood memorials: Israel, Nancy and Arthur
I just searched the Online Database for MO. to see if I could locate either of the 2 children you mentioned. Neither came up under Wood or Woods. This does not mean they were not there, only that they are not online. If I happen upon any more info, I'll send it along. Best Wishes, Lettie

Wood Memorials
I updated as best I could and transferred Israel, Nancy & their son Arthur Wood to you. I always add children to the Memorials to make it easier for others to locate parents. Then remove the children once all are linked. According to the Census they had 10 Children... I only located 8, do you have any other info? I am not related, I just enjoy researching. Best Wishes, Lettie

RE: Charles Wright
Thanks I have made the connection to his parents, I also transferred the Wright memorials to you, They are not relatives. I take photos of in local cemeteries and if they don't have a memorial, I create a memorial for them. I am happy to be able to transfer then to relatives who are interested in managing them.

RE: Andrew B. Reed #117042913
Hi Pam:

Glad to hear from you.

Andrew is my blood relative, of course, not Catharine. I know very little about her other than her name (from the marriage record), and that she was born about 1828 in New Jersey (from the 1850 Census). I also have a note that she died by 1856. In the several references I have, the surname appears as Anseline, Ancelin, and Ansalon.

I wish I could be of more assistance; but it sounds like you already know a good bit more that I do. If you can share her parents' names, and if you have her vital dates, I would be very interested in that.

Amer & Rhoda Wood
Hi Pam,

I made the updates to Amer Wood's memorial and I also transferred his and Rhoda's memorials to you. I didn't create Ronald's memorial so you will have to request that one separately. It looks like there's two for him actually, so you might ask the one with less info to take theirs down. Good luck with your research! :)

Hi Pam,
You're quite welcome, I enjoy doing this. I'd love to assist and make your corrections, however I cannot find the names now by search only, you did not include the cemetery. Would you mind providing the cemetery and I can transfer to you as I am not a descendant of this family. Also, please provide your Find A Grave Id # so that I can transfer smoothly.
thanks and take care,

Hi-Sorry, but I am not related to this family. I only photograph the headstones in this cemetery as a hobby. If Howard is your family, I would be happy to transfer the memorial to you as well as any others. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Muriel "Dolly" Bartlett
Cemetery records show her on plat E272 along w/ Bessie, Elizabeth,Fredrick, Minnie and Norman. b.12/1895 - d.01/15/1906. I'll go down and take a look, but, I'm guessing that it is unmarked since her parents graves on the same plat were photographed earlier. I've yet to find a visible marker here that hasn't already been photographed. There is also a Violet Mary Bartlett buried at E417.
