RE: Clara Avo Talley 1000048732

No , and what a crazy thing. Seems like a manager could delete a link that was not correct, but it only can be undone one way. Maybe some day they will fix that.

I did not create the link!~! You have to contact the person who has the memorial, I can not do it from mine as I told you yesterday. I have no control when some links claiming so and so is a parent. Please contact this person, not me as I explained yesterday.

You will have to contact the person who manages Clara. I didn't make the link and am unable to remove it from my end.

RE: Talleys
You're welcome Brenda,
Aunt Georgie had a great memory up until she couldn't talk any longer. Ray never was happy about anyone going over there to visit her. We did, but not near enough. I loved listening to her stories about her life and the families. My dad, myself, and my daughter were her favorites of this side of the family. After we buried Aunt Georgie on her birthday he told me that the only reason we were her favorites was because we listened to her. I was like duh, she's a storyteller. Then I found out later that Ray had been jealous of the attention she gave to dad and me (not so much with my daughter because of her being so young). It just doesn't make any sense to me.

Even though Ray is married he uses Aunt Georgie's house as a refuge. Anytime Ray and his wife, Anna, fight or he just wants to drink or whatever he'll escape over there. Plus, that's where he's got a lot of his stuff that he doesn't want Anna to get rid of. I seriously doubt any of us will ever see the inside of that house ever again, unfortunately.

RE: Talleys
Thanks, I appreciate that.

William is buried in California, but I don't know where. After he past his family there didn't want anything to do with the rest of us.

I wish that I had the black and white photo of Clarence's boat during the war. But, I think it's still on the wall at Aunt Georgie's house and Ray won't let anyone tough anything over there.

Hiya Brenda,
Thanks for your new email address. Mine is still the same, quayse@yahoo.com.

I don't have a clue why Aunt Sallie's name is considered a half-sibling. Maybe because Rachel's name isn't listed with Williams? Ervin Mize can't correct anything right now. He's been in a rehab/nursing home for many weeks now and there is no tellings when he'll be able to go home. He can't even sit up to work on a computer. My dad said that Ervin is so weak that a person can barely understand him say anything.

I just realized you don't have Uncle Other and Aunt Georgie's sons listed on their memorials: William Talley and Clarence Talley. I'm not sure if they even have memorials on here. I don't know why I haven't checked. Will you add on Uncle Other's memorial that Papa (Otis) and him were fraternal twins. They were hilarious to be seen next to each other because Papa was short, squat, and stout while Uncle Other was tall, lanky, and really thin.

I don't remember a Samantha, but I do remember hearing about Uncle Elbert. Aunt Fran, my dad's oldest sister probably knows about them. I just never get a chance to ask when I see her. The last time I saw her was at Christmas and we mainly talked or I listened to the stories of all of my dad and his siblings. My cousin, Marla, wanted to write down as many stories about them all as possible.

We do need to get together at some point. Right now I'm not available all that much because of my mom. I am still taking care of her full-time.

I have made the request of the owner of the memorial for Trilla Charleen Talley Long and the owner of the memorial for Bobby Gene Long that they be linked to their parents. The child is always linked to the parent and not vice versa. This means we will have to wait until the owners do the links. If they don't do it within a month findagrave generally does it for them.

Thanks for you input. Keep checking to make certain the links get done.

RE: William Birchett
My email is quayse@yahoo.com. Yes, we need to do get together and go out to Oak Grove and to Cypress Valley.

I vaguely remember at the moment where Aunt Lillie's grave is out there. I have so many relatives (including my mom's biological mom) and friends out there that it's difficult for me to keep up anymore. *LOL* I'd say it's my age, but I'm still young and I know older people who can remember all of that in a heartbeat. But, I do enjoy the search.

Yeah, our great-grandparents are right beside Aunt Georgie and Uncle Other's marker.

I vaguely remember hearing about a Floyd Talley.

This guy Bill is hunting for Talley relatives up in Franklin County. Do you know if we have any kin up there? He left a msg on my profile if you want to read it.

I'm sorry about the death of your husband's uncle. It's cool that we're unable to visit tomorrow. After I drop the kittens off at Companions, I've got to get back as quick as possible to stay with my mom.

Talk soon,
Libby

Have you ever been to the Cypress Valley Cemetery where a lot of the Talleys and Birchetts are buried? It's on the other side of Vilonia. That's where I plan to be buried.

That's totally awesome that Deronda and you talked. I haven't ever met her, either. I read both of your messages to my dad. He thought it was neat that the two of you wrote one after the other. Both Deronda and you should read the messages that I leave both of you since I've given a little story here and there. I just gave her a story about Aunt Sally. She was a hoot!

Yeah, Aunt Georgie (everyone called her Georgie instead of Georgia) always kept the photos of William (oldest - he died not long after she did), Clarence (he died during WWII) and Ray (he lives here in Conway) on her wall. In the guest bedroom she always had a black/white photo of the ship that Clarence was on.

I totally know where Springhill is. I'll be going there Monday morning to Companions. I rescue kittens and take them there to get vetted and fixed then rehome them. :)

I'm glad to connect more with family, too. :D It's always a great sense of security to me to know that more family is out there.

RE: Georgia and Other Talley
I just read your info that you had left on my profile to my dad (Stanley "Bud" Talley)and he was like, "Yep!" "Yep!" and so on. He remembers who you are and definitely remembers your dad. I forget there are so many Williams, Billys, Bills, Willies/Willys, ect. in the Talley family.

I live in Conway. I have the majority of my life. Aunt Georgie is one of my greatest heroes. I miss her daily. She cracked me up. Every year she would say, (the majority of my dad's side of the family call me by Elizabeth) "Elizabeth, I'll be dead by my birthday." or "Elizabeth, I'll be dead by Christmas." And, then that year would pass and then her birthday would come along and then Christmas. She got where she could talk but we would go visit her and I'd say with a smirk, "I know Aunt Georgie, you'll be dead by your birthday." She'd nod her head. And, sure enough, she died the Wednesday before her birthday and her funeral was on her birthday. It was crazy!

You can call me at 501-329-2921 or my cell is 501-242-1510. I'm not home a lot because I stay with my mom on a full-time basis. She has Alzheimer's, so while my dad is at work, I stay with her. And, I may or may not answer my cell because I have to keep it in my purse or my mom will put it in a drawer or the freezer or the food pantry or somewhere else. It'll be great to do lunch with you one day. I'm unable to drive so it'll have to be at a time when I can have someone (usually my dad, daughter or sister) drop me off.

Georgia and Other Talley
Hiya Brenda,
I'm wondering if you are related? They are my Great-aunt and uncle. Other is my dad's father's (Otis Talley) twin brother. They were fraternal twins.

I made the changes you suggested, then transferred the memorials to you as I am not related. If there are others in this cemetery that you would like to have transferred, please let me know.
