|Catskill123||RE: John Goetschius|
Hi Sir, It took months to find the cemetery LOL. Then once i found it many graves have fallen over and were covered with dirt and leaves. Im going to get back up there and try to find some more grave stones soon. If you need anything else let me know Rick

James & Amelia Goetchus are buried in the large Bleakley plot in Locust block at Hillside. It holds 22 people, mostly with the name Bleakley, going back to 1837, which is very old for even Hillside.
I did not have a chance to look at the cemetery file before I took the photo. I work at Hillside and Find-a-Grave is helping me to learn the cemetery.

I am not related. I have a feeling that the problem is due to the fact that Christian did not get listed as the father of Charles, only Aeltje. I put in a request to BArnold to add the link. If that does not change his status, BArnold will probably have an answer for you. Thanks for letting me know so I could fix the problem.

You are welcome..glad to be of assistance. Funny, I normally photograph both sides but unfortunately in this case I did not. I didn't even look at the other side. I have more requests at BN so I will take it and post if for you. Your parents have a nice shady location at BN.

You are very welcome. This lot is on a steep hill. If there was a vertical stone it may have fallen over given the incline. You could check with the office to see if it was ever marked. Good luck with your search.

|Ken B||Additional grave at Greenfield|
Hi, There. I was at Greenfield today to fulfill your photo requests. I thought you'd want to know that at the same plot 183, grave #4 is where Harry & Martha Hanssen are buried. Since there were no Find A Grave memorials for them, I created same & added the photos (marker plus overview). If you'd like them transferred to you, please let me know. -Ken

I'm sorry. No, I did not, and I should have. I'll go back and get the transcription. It's not far. I'll try to all of them for you. It should be warm this weekend so I'll work on it then. Sincerely, Linda

|Mary Meadows||Evaline Goetschius Shank|
I was wondering if you wanted her headstone pic because of her Maiden name or her Married name. I found a Evaline Goetschius Shutts at the cemetery with her husband John Shutts. I tried looking her up using the Shank last name but nothing ever came up. I tried using the Shutts last name and I did find her. I will be asking the person that has her memorial to please change her last name to match her headstone.

|Anonymous||Re:Jennie Goetschins photo|
I posted photos of Jennie's markers to memorial # 74383937, per your request. However, I believe there is a duplicate memorial for her under the name of Jennie Knoderer, 24988028. I think this may have happened because one person created a memorial from the interment records, while another created a memorial using the data on the gravestones. Jennie is buried in the Knoderer lot and nowhere on the stones could I find the name of Goetschins. If I'm right, you might want to talk to the managers of the two memorials and ask for one of them to be deleted.

Re Beulah/Eula Goetschius: I thought it looked like there was a "B" in front of EULA on the headstone, but it is possible it is just an erosion mark as I definitely don't see an "H" at the end. It was my assumption that the name was Beulah simply because I've never heard of the name Eula before.
I have changed the memorial.

The dates do match his tomb stone..I just checked.
What dates are you referring to?

|Gene Baumwoll CSW||Earl Goetschius in Cedar Hill|
I see that Barbara Le Clair entered an incorrect name in her memorial- I found Earl's marker and entered the memorial in 2011 There is no Carl.
It's not a big problem compared to all that is wrong with this world.

|Cindy||RE: Benjamin Monument|
It would definitely be in the same cemetery. If it was another cemetery I would have made another memorial as I wouldn't know they were the same person (they are not part of my family). It does look like they are the flip sides of the same stone. There is a smaller marker in both photos that moves to the appropriate side in the photos. Can I say 100% is is... No. If you are really that interested I would say to contact the church and see what info they can give you. I also cannot say who is actually buried there as I just go by the inscriptions. Hope that is some help to you.

|Cindy||RE: Benjamin Monument|
I do not know exactly which monument you are referring to. There are 6 names with birth and death dates listed on the monument for Jennie. I did make 6 memorials for those. Whether they are there or not I do not know ~ I photograph the cemetery and make memorials from the inscriptions. I do not have access to cemetery records for most of the cemeteries I photograph. Send me a note thru the memorial that you are inquiring about and I can possibly answer you question better.

There is a better memorial for her and sadly I am guilty of using charcoal to highlight the writing - I washed it off but this is a no no
Abby D lent Goetschius
There is a link to her husband which I see I researched a year ago also- maybe they can be merged as the bad memorial for abby predates the more complete one...
