You can have them put a note on it about the Rasmussen name. I may have sent it actually. Let's see if it posts. I think the manager is Find a grave as it may be a Fallen graver who created it.
Happy Searching! Rosalie

You are very welcome. Glad to have helped. I do enjoy walking cemeteries wondering what stories are behind each name.

|Roberta G||George Washington Smith|
George was the son of Henry Smith and Mary Quigley.
According to letter written by George Smith's son, Jack, the family moved to Omaha, Nebraska in 1872 or 1873. Henry died about 1885 or 1886.
At father's death, he went to live with his mother's family in Philadelphia. Mary had a sister named Sarah, who was called Sadie. She had 15 children. His brother, Charles Elijah, was raised by Laton and Rachel Francina Curtis, and he took their last name. He is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Kansas City, Wyandotte County, KS and has a find-a-grave memorial Find A Grave Memorial# 104165183
great granddaughter of Charles Elijah Curtis

|Valarie Vine||Naomi Kolb (Lincoln Cemetery)|
Thanks for your note. It appears that the other memorial (with unknown burial location) was added in 2010 by a niece of Naomi's. My thought is that you could add the photo you took to the other memorial and notify the person that Naomi is buried at Lincoln Cemetery. Your choice, of course. (I am not related to Naomi, just happened to be looking up some items in the 1967 microfiche at the library).

I added a new photo. Check it out. It's no longer upside down. As you can see they need to plant some grass seed. However, these lots are surrounded by large trees.

MHANS. Mr. Vollink's wife passed away last month. When I took his photo today , I also took hers. Her name was Marlene. Check out the link to her on his memorial. It came out ok except for the shadows.

I took the photo from behind the grave marker because of the shadows. When I looked at the picture after the download it was backwards. I rotated the picture when I got home but it still came out wrong, so I deleted it. I have 2 more photo request at the same cemetery for tomorrow and will take another one of yours. You are ok, it was not the caffeine. LOL. Thanks, Jim.

My honor. There was nothing but boards and dirt behind them so I tried to crop them as close as I could. Have a great day.

Hi Bob: Billie's memorial is now complete. We have had below freezing temps, rain, snow, and ice accompanied with wind, therefore I have been housebound. When the temps rose to 34 degrees this am, I made a bee line to Osawatomie to see if her stone had finally been installed. This was the best photo. The full length underlayment looked solid, however there is a large discolored area in the center which makes me believe that the soil is very soggy. It will take some of our July heat to dry this up. There was soft mud all around Billie's grave. I did not notice this color variance on Robert's grave. When I am back in the area next fall I will look for signs of cracking. As you can see in her photo, the only weight on this slab is her stone on the west end, so all we can do is let it dry up naturally. Lois

I thought it was 07-21 and 09-12 too. I'm thinking born July 21st and died Sept 12th, just no year. I will make a stop out there again in the summer and see if I missed anything.

Norris Lake is not really a town and it is not very far from Teulon. So the service was probably held in Teulon and buried in Norris Lake Cemetery.

Most of the headstones here are pretty cool. Great place to visit. Problem is they are so shiny, they are hard to photograph. You local? I am in Fiddletown.

You might consider contacting the cemetery office to get the Block and Lot numbers for the grave. There are over 100 requests...far too many for the few volunteers to research. Thanks
