Joseph Gibson
Theodore Bart Gibson
Theodora B. Gibson, is the way Ancestry.com. U.S., Find A Grave Index, (1600s-Current [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations, Inc., 2012.) has it listed in "their" database. I have corrected it in my Find A Grave account and had it correct in Ancestry but updated the "B." to Bart. Thanks so much for your help and if you find anything out of place or incorrect, please let me know. ALSO. I would like to share your name and message board with a friend and fellow researcher who happens to be working on the "West" name. Don't know if it is the same line or not but any information would help to prove or disprove a particular line. Again Thanks!

West Family
This is Your family and You can add so much that I could never add. That is why I have transferred them to You.. I want all of My memorials , even the one's I have transferred complete and accurate.

Many times people ask for transfers. But then they just sit and they never add anything. I knew that You would only make memorial better.

You did so good on these 2 that I have transferred another. You do know that You can request transfer's of Your family members. If You are more closely related than the person who manages Your Grand Parents , You can also request them.

Thanks so much for the kind words. I try really hard , but I know that I am not perfect.

I have added the obituary to Your Father's memorial and it has Your step mom listed in it.

I have also transferred Your family to You.I hope that You can connect Your family as I did not know who Your Grand Parents are. If I do happen to have them , Please let Me know and I will transfer them to You.

Again, Thank You for Your kindness.

Gerald Wiggins
RE: Sarah Ann Williams Mosley in Andress Cem

Hi Deborah,
This is Gerald E. Wiggins in Pensacola Florida, thanks for your kind comments. The search for Thomas J. Mosley and his Wife Sarah Ann Mosley was a real challenge. As you know a great amount of our time is spent raising children and earning a living. As we age, we seem to have a bit more time to dedicate to our wants, such as the search for an unknown memorial.
Thomas J. Mosley was my gggrandfather, his memorial is located near Georgiana Alabama, a couple of hundred feet off of Ebenezer Road, in Ebenezer Cemetery(31d 49m 39.64s N) & ( 86d 45m 25.63s W). Out of Georgiana take Ebenezer Road across I65. Turn south onto a dirt road about 200 feet past the interstate. ,The Cemetery is located under the trees. I hope to place a new stone at the site soon; of course the original will remain.

Sarah Ann (Williams) Mosley the wife of Thomas J. Mosley is located about 10 miles East of Greenville in Butler County. She is buried in Andress Cemetery, surrounded by private property, but I didn't have any problem accessing the cemetery. Ive forgotten the gentleman's name that owns the adjacent property but he was very helpful. There are only about 19 sites remaining and Sarah's name didn't appear on any of them. Finally there was a small broken stone lying face down in the grass. I turned it over but no name was visible. I took the stone back to the truck where I had tools and after cleaning and using a high intensity light I was able to see some indication of a name. I took a piece of paper and a piece of charcoal and brushed the stone. Much to my surprise a name was visible and it matched my gggrandmother's . Years of erosion had eaten the stone smooth. I used the same method to highlight the name, knowing this would be the last chance for identification. I would never recommend this as a rule; however I do intend to place a new marker along with existing. When observing the stone it appears the letters have depth, but in reality the stone is almost perfectly smooth.

I'm including a couple new paper articles concerning George M. Mosley ( 1850-1921). George was the son of Thomas and Sarah Mosley. George and his wife donated the property for the Premitive Baptist Church in Stapleton, Alabama. The Church is gone but the Cemetery is still very active. The original cemetery was intended for the decedents of George and Mary Caroline Presley. He was the founder of the church and the first pastor. Below is a photo of one of the pews that was built 1n 1906 for the new church. I sits in my living room, as a reminder as to the commitment and dedication of our ancestors.

The Baldwin Times wrote on July 11, 1901: George M. Mosleley moved to Camby(Stapleton) to farm 80 acreas of land purchased from Walter Sibley.

Janurary 8, 1903, The Baldwin Times wrote: "A great many hogs have been butchehered and salted down. George M. Moseley leads with 1400 lbs. "

George M. Mosley was ordained to preach May 23, 1903. He was chosen as the Pastor on 27 Jan 1906.

Deborah, you ask about the use of "Elder" in conjunction with Thomas J. Mosley, he was an Elder in the Georgiana Ebenezer Church. He preached there for several years. His grandson (my grandfather) Robert Riley Mosley (1887-1971) told me Thomas was instrumental in the forming the new church at Bushy Creek, being much closer to where he lived.
Beborah, I know these are just ramblings, but I hope it give you some insight in our history.
PS. Where do you live and how are you related to the Wiggins? If you like send me your email and I can send the photos'
