Smithwick-Italy duplicates
I was able to confirm with the Italy cemetery association that Smithwick Park is now managed as a part of Italy cemetery, then was able to get Find A Grave to merge the two pages with a redirect from Smithwick to Italy. I see that many of the previous duplicates have been eliminated and I hope these mergers were accomplished without loss of photos or information.

In the next few weeks, another member and I will be editing several pages to get the known duplicates to identical basic information in preparation to ask Find A Grave to run their Deduper utility. The names and dates have to be identical I believe for this to work, so we will striving to prepare appropriately. Your cooperation with these edits will be greatly appreciated.

Duplicate record for Aubra Chambers
Would it b possible for you to delete your entry of 2011 of Aubra Chambers in Italy Cemetery...there was a record filed in 2006 by someone else and yours is a duplicate...this is my Uncle and I'd like to add to the original record and this is confusing. I know this happens often since I just had to delete one of my entries because I discovered that it was a duplicate as well. Thanks for all the pictures you have taken in the past. By the way I am searching for My great uncle Lee Wright. He lived for many years in Waxahachie, then in the 50's in Dallas and lived in a nursing home in Garland before his death ...all this is "family says". Can't find any written record of him after the years following WWI. Any ideas?

Hi Jay,

Could you please delete the picture you added to Joe's memorial #9287819 ? It's obviously the same photo which was taken by Dee Burris Blakly and is already on there.

Bob Francis
Joseph A. Francis
Most family trees on use Andrew as the middle name of Joseph A. Francis. I've looked at information about him from the Clark County Historical Society and can find only "A" shown for his middle name. I wonder if you have a source which shows his middle name as Adcock? That is a logical name since there were Adcocks in the family. Joseph A. Francis is my g-grandfather His son, George Franklin Francis, is my grandfather and is also buried in Golden Cemetery. I would appreciate anyone who can help me with this.

Robert Orr Curry
I have added a photo of tombstone of Robert Orr Curry who was son of: George Washington Curry and Lydia Jane Crawford Curry. You had requested a photo of grave of Lydia Jane Crawford Curry so I thought you might like to know of this photo of her son's grave. Robert Orr Curry is also buried in New Lebanon Cemetery.
Thank you,

RE: Researching Malone, Franklin Co.
Here is a site which has helped me as I've searched for distant cousins over in New York:

This is the most complete listing of cemeteries I've found so far, covering Essex, Clinton and Franklin counties.

RE: Do you know the cost of Wills?
Before I order copies of wills, I would try to look at the newspaper site to see if I could find some kind of correlation to your family. A lot of the early papers had local columns saying things like " Mr. and Mrs. ____ from ____ were in town visiting her parents last Saturday."

Info like this can give you some definite leads!

Northern Neighbors
Ditto to what Joyce asked, all possibilities. There are also local researchers available to do look-ups or research in land/court/ etc. records. Look for those lists in some of the websites that Joyce referred you to.

I don't live in NY. Good luck with your search!

RE: Research in Malone, Franklin Co., NY
1) When & where did Hiram die?

2) Did you check my cemetery web site?

3) Have you looked at the following web site for old newspaper articles?

4) Do you know if there are any wills available in the Barlow surname in Franklin County? There is an index available at the following site:

5) Have you searched census records to see if there was a Barlow in the area in 1830?

6) Did you receive any response from the Malone Historical Society at all? Or did they come up empty in their search??

I'll be glad to help what I can. I live about 10 miles from Malone.

RE: Schwanekamp Links?
Hi, I have a lot of information on Schwanekamps (my great aunts and uncles and cousins on my maternal side, but little on Henry. I didn't even have a wife. However, I am willing to do more research. I work with "Family Tree" through and could invite you to view my family tree via your email address. I'll contact you again. Carolyn

RE: Jonathan Adams #65698285
Hi Jay, my apologies for taking so long to get back to you. I can't say for 100% certainty but I checked other headstones/data I entered for that cemetery and I also entered Catharine Boydon Adams information (Find A Grave Memorial# 65698222) so I would surmise that this Jonathan was her spouse. I don't live in the area (flew back to Boston for a genelogy trip so I am unable to visit the cemetery for you to confirm.

Hope this helps,

RE: Pictures Taken - Thanks
You're Welcome. There were 2 other graves at that site that you didn't request. I made a memorial for each of them. Jacob Hoegel and Norman Kremer, both marked as " Son ", but don't know whose son.

RE: Wondering if you have photo COMMINS/CUMMIS graves?
I just fill requests in Oswego and Jefferson County. The only place I do full cemetery inventories is St. Lawrence county, so I don't have any info on any other people in Jefferson. Most Jefferson County cemeteries (and other info) can be found at the address below. Maybe there is something there that will help.
