Thanks Bob for taking the pic. We had been up there in the early 2000. I don't know if I was aware of him than or later. It's an age thing I guess. The Keyes line goes back to the French and Indian Wars. Ross

RE: Stone
Hi Bob,
You are very welcome. The stone had a lot of moss and lichen on it so when I return I will remember to bring a straight edge and remove all of that so you can read it. It comes off very easy. There is a lot to do in Horsemeadow so I will be back there at some point, hopefully soon.

All the Best, Roberta

I saw that you had a Blodgett headstone. I'm working on a chart for my step grandchildren and the Blodgetts are in there. Theordore's parents are the pix I saw. Philander and Eliza. THANKS Leasa. downeastwaves@yahoo.com

no I had access to a burial report for union cemetery. it reports name, plot, internment date, type of burial (full, creamation etc), level in grave (most are 1 unless a spouse, child is buried on top of a parent).

RE: Ella(Nellie)
Ella is in uc-562-E-159. It is a poppers section of the cemetery. Those that didn't have a lot of money and or were children are mainly buried in this area. Some of the graves are just numbers. it is an unfortunate section and Ella is lucky to have a headstone as simple as it is.
I hope this helps. Sorry about the info. It does mean she was living a hard life.

The Lajoie lot is between Eugene Theberge (1868-1930) and Joseph, Delia, & Albertine Asselin. I'll check through my photos for the surnames you mentioned.

RE: Blodgetts
Fairview is in the book, but it is not a private cemetery. It is the new cemetery for Stratford and most burials are done there now because the other two are fairly full. It may have started out as a private cemetery and then like many of them been donated or sold to the town.

Who are you looking for in Fairview?

RE: Blodgetts
Okay... the only Hanks listed are Anna, Leonard, and Maud, all children of L.W. & M.E. Hanks. They are in Stratford Center. There are no other Hanks in any northern cemetery (with headstones at least... and they would have all had to die before 1984 or so).

The Pages listed are George Herman Page and Mary Colby Page that are listed in Colebrook Village (I believe the Charles & Sarah Colby in the same plot are her parents and they are listed in Village).

Then there is a Charles E Page 1916-1982 and Annie E. Page 1921-(maybe not dead yet)... they are in Plot A-10 in Colebrook Village. They are not in findagrave yet.

Then in Indian Stream in Pittsburg there was a stone PAGE listed with no names (at that time at least). It is Plot 14. If I get back up there before snow flies I will see if names have been added.

There are five Pages listed in Northumberland and one in Crawford Cemetery in Guildhall. Then there are 8 "Paige" listings in Crawford Cemetery in VT.

What private cemetery? There are cemeteries listed in this book that were on the old farms... but only a couple had stones. Some she mentioned were never found but locals insisted there were graves there (although some never had any stones).
