John Bodge in Brooklawn

I am about to fulfill your request for a photo of the marker of John Bodge. The sun was in a poor location, so I will plan to return to Brooklawn to re-take the photo. Also on the marker was Amy L Bodge (presumably his wife) 1899-Jun, 1965. Let me know if you will be creating a memorial for her and I will upload the photo.

Almarin Bodge
HI, I just filled your photo request for this grave.
This marble stone is quite eroded, which made it hard to read. There are several family names in the tomb, which is actually an underground room where many people are buried. All four sides of this stone are engraved with names and dates. This side has the names of the Tukesburys buried here. I did not see Almarin Bodge on the stone, but he is listed as being buried here in William Jordan's book, "Burial Records, 1717-1962 of of the Eastern Cemetery. There are at least 28 people buried in this tomb.

Duplicate Entry for Muscoe Garnett and Garnett Cemetery
Please remove your duplicate entry for Muscoe Garnett and incorrect cemetery as "Garnett Family Cemetery," in Dunnsville, Virginia, as it is correctly and already established as Ben Lomond Cemetery. Wes Pippenger.

Bodge family markers face due north and thus the inscription portions are in the shade most of the year. Also, the inscriptions are severely weathered and barely readable. I will attempt to re-photo next June, meanwhile keep the photo request active

Arthur M. Bodge
I went over to Grove Cemetery to take picture & the caretaker went through his records I his books & online database to find Arthur. Doesn't exist. Is there an obituary for him? I did not find one of those either.

Benjamin Bodge
Hello - Am uploading photo of what is believed to be this tomb you are searching for; however, it says "General Stevens" not Gayer, from what I can read. It is next to Tomb 22, which only has a number and no names. Cheers!

NHOGA lists 3 Bodge cemeteries in Barrington: Beauty Hill Road, Wild Cat Road, and Young Road. Do you know which is the Benjamin Bodge cemetery?

Erin Madsen
Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston
Hi there, I'd love to fulfill your request for pictures of a few different Bodge relatives you have at the Forest Hills Cemetery in Boston. They have a very strict policy that you must get permission from the cemetery by writing an email to and submitting proof that you have ownership of the plots and that you give me permission to take the photos. Sorry, its kind of a pain, but that's what they want.
Send me an email or reply on here when you get written permission from Marianne. Thanks and good luck!!

I am sorry but there is no stone for Richard. I did find Charlotte's but no Richard. I talked to the man who dug his grave and I found the plot but no stone.

Thanks and question
Thanks for the photo of Mary Kasson's memorial. It is pretty difficult to make out what it reads, especially due to the position of the sun. Were you able to make note of the inscription? Thank you.

Gravestone Photo Permission
I am happy to see that you photographed the gravestone of Ruble Lee Alford in Marvin Hill Cemetery (Memorial# 124559397).

I would like to add this gravestone photo to the (non-profit) Alford American Family Association's collection of Mississippi Obituaries, where his obituary is (or will be) included. You can see the current collection at

May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, the photo caption will say:

Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—
Permission granted by the photographer, gbodge [or your name if you prefer]

And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!

Best regards,
Pamela Alford Thompson (Find A Grave #47195155)

Charles Pride
Hi Greg,

I am about to fulfil your photo requests for Mildred & Harold Pride, and want to let you know that I also took a photo of the marker for their son Charles H "Top" Pride, born 1913 & died 10/10/1987 in Portland. He served in WWII as a T SGT in the Marine Corps.

If you create a memorial for him and send in a photo request, I will gladly claim it and upload the photo immediately.

Let me know.
