I believe that it just reads:
"At the age of 14...." without detail.
Could have been a drummer.
I added the entire inscription ...
at least what I think it says...
to his memorial.

Thank you for ypur recent inquiry and suggestion. However I cannot comply with your request as the information, dates and location do not match current research which is why this memorial was created.

I was pretty much convinced when I saw them side by side in the Wilcox lot. I've requested a link between the father and mother, which I guess is correct, even if they divorced... she did keep his name, if not his house.... Alice

Cemetery states that his remains are buried in the Smith plot, but There is no headstone for Hanford Smith I took photos of all headstones in the Smith plot.

I added a picture of Myron & Genevieve's stone in the Fairfield Cemetery. I also added a photo of Minnie (Adams) Zimmerman. She and Leon both have senior year pictures in the 1912 Spencerport High School yearbook. I had added Leon's picture some time ago, but didn't notice that Minnie had married Leon until recently.
I was surprised to learn that Carrie Rann lived in the village. The Horace Rann property was on lot 125 in Ogden. The name is misspelled as H. Rand on the 1872 map. The road that runs east off of Union St. was originally called Rann Road, while that part of the road that turned south and ran to Whittier Road was called Brower Road. At some point the Rann name was dropped and the entire road became Brower Road.

I didn't see it. When I fulfill a request I normally photograph all of the family members for that person within that family plot. We're heading back home to PA this morning so good luck in your search!

You're very welcome. I'm up here in the area visiting for a few days and figured I'd see what requests were pending. Glad I could help!

If you had checked this memorial yesterday, you would not have found the obituary. I copied the obituary this morning and posted it this afternoon. Jessie and I were neighbors about 1967-69 when she lived in an apartment on Emery Street.

Yes, the Zimmerman stones are cast from some type of cement or concrete. Jacob Zimmerman's stone seems to have been carelessly made - neither his forename nor surname is centered on the stone. All the others are.

I put Leon Zimmerman's 1912 Spencerport High School senior year picture on the website, and noticed you had created his page. Lucky guy, Leon - his class consisted of 2 guys and 10 girls. I did check your other memorial pages and added a couple pictures of gravestones.

No idea what happened to the stones of Elizabeth (Harvey) Scott. Probably dumped in a pile somewhere (although I can't find where) or thrown out in a clean-up effort. So, there's no way to take a better look at the "7" "4" problem.

I think I will leave it there as it is the most readable of all photo. I used shaving cream in 2002 to get the photo. The New England Historical Genealogy Society recommend it. I have not seen the "rule" posted in any cemetery, but do know if not washed off will well, it could be a problem. We took a lot of water with us.

Happy Holidays! It's been some time since we corresponded, but I hope you're well.
Thank you so much for sponsoring the Hosford-Ransom-Dewey memorials. As you've seen, Fay and I found and photographed Sibil Ransom's original gravestone (in the woods on the old family farm in Poultney). I suspect that David is there, too, and his parents; and that the monument in the East Poultney Cemetery is merely a cenotaph. But conditions were pretty miserable in the woods (hip high grass just getting there, and then lots of vegetation and mosquitoes) and we didn't have the stamina to check the whole area. Plus a tick bit me and burrowed into my neck, so we got out of Dodge as quickly as we could. It was a tough job, but every time I look at Sibil's stone, I am thrilled and know that it was well worth the trouble.
All the best.

I guess we are all totally at a loss. I was going by what is on the gravestone as this is the only date that has been found at this time. I will keep searching, you never know what you can find in other sources.
Thanks for the heads up,

Hi Cousin, Am sorry I do not have a copy of the Richarson Memorial on my computer. You may be able to search for one. I have a hard copy. My aunt accidentally found a copy in the St. Petersburg, FL library thirty years ago and somehow sourced out a reprint copy for me. It is 900 plus pages long. I will probably never get all the information entered in my Ancestry tree.

We will certainly delete the 2nd memorial!
I'm stumped that we duplicated her in the first place! We were trying to be so diligent!
However, I think it was because we actually took the photos of that cemetery in Sept 2011, along with many others in Nebraska. It took us a few months to sort all of our photos, and create the big spreadsheets for the several cemeteries. I'm thinking that while we were working on the uploads, you had created Laura, and we didn't catch the duplication at all!
I'll get the photos uploaded to your memorial right away.
Please sing out if you spot any more like this.
