Hello Again.
I live close to the 460 end. Had a son & Family that lived in Rainbow Forest a few years ago.
I did not think any one would post any pictures of this cem (Brick Union) I went ther back in the summer, so grow up could not find any thing.
It is strange that you and I desided to go there about the same time. As you have seen, there are a lot of unmarked (rocks)graves and others with no marking, but ground is sunk in.
I am 73 years old, been married 56 years.
May God bless you and your family.

RE: Oops. You were at Brick Union Cemetery yesterday, not today!
Hello: No I do not heve ken at this cemetery(Brick Union). My mother and dad had a farm abt 3/4 mile from this cemetery. I live on Mt.Pass, abt 6 miles from cem. I have been doing genealogy for abt 25 years, just like posting cem markers that are close by. I have known some Raders and kesslers, no ken.
IF You have good picture, post them and let me know, I can delete mine.

RE: Thank you!
Hi Sarah, Actually there was a scout troop that did go in and "clean up" somewhat several years ago but, there are still tons of undergrowth. It does not appear that there are any gravestones in this dense area but, based on my handdrawn plat there are lots of them. I had my boyfriend use a machette and cut just enough to see within a small area that we believed to be the location of a stone and yes, there it was. Sadly, by the time we go again the vines & briars have once again reclaimed them.

RE: Memorial transfer requests
Hi Sarah,

I will be happy to transfer Alderson/Dickerson graves to you. I too, connect to the Dickerson's of Russell Co. but, at this time I have not connected the dots to Nancy J.

I have searched the North Church Street graveyard for about 4 years, everytime I go to Lebanon on vacation. The dense growth makes it almost impossible to find the forgotten stones. My ggrandparents, John Tyler Gibson & his wife, Mary Alice Boyd are buried there but, I have found no stone. I do have a handdrawn plat which shows me the location but, the briars & vines make it almost impossible to access that area. We have taken a machette & hacked our way through much of it but, each year when we return, nature has reclaimed her quarry & we have to start again.

If you want to see more on this old graveyard go to VAGENWEB and search out Russell Co. cemeteries, then North Church Street. There are some interesting articles and I donated many photos.
