I apologize for the photo of the gravestone. I am going back in the spring of 2016 with some gardening tools (lopper). I promise you I will clean up all the weeds and vines, and then will take a decent picture. At least this photo will let you know the current condition of the grave area, and that someone (me) will be working on cleaning it up.

|R. Sage||Josephine Lieurance request|
Hi there. I located a military headstone for a Henson Lieurance in Hope Cemetery, but nothing for Josephine. I've checked the entire cemetery several times. There are several unmarked graves near Henson. If they are related, it seems likely that Josephine would be buried there. Would you like me to upload a photo of Henson's stone?

You're welcome! Wish we could have found his marker. There are a fair number of unmarked or "unknown" graves in that cemetery.

Oh AND - sorry - found a family group of "Perlee" which I also photographed, but no Benjamin.

Hi - I found a marker for Ralph, son of Benjamin and Mary PARLEE - but none for Benjamin or Mary themselves. Could this be the right spelling and family? I did photograph the marker for you. Please let me know! Thanks! Kit

|Paul Fiskum||RE: ole Hattervig|
I do want to get a better photo sometime. The marker is under a tree so shadows were a problem. The names under Ole are Osmond 1880 - 1880, Bertha Elisa 1890 - 1891, Babie 1882, and Babie 1884. That is the way they had baby spelled. There were a few other Hattervigs buried there. I have them posted to South Dakota Gravestones. Paul

Hi Sharon, I claimed pics for Glenn, Franklin, Myrtle Shepard, and Margaret Waite, and Margaret, and Raymond Lundbeck. Well in the Shepard plot is also Jerome Lundbeck infant :( maybe child of Margaret and Raymond Lundbeck, also Velma Shepard, and Etta Simonds, all graves were paid for by Franklin Shepard. I will take pics of all since the cemetery has all their graves on Find A Grave. What a find. I will go the the cemetery in the next few day's, I have a lot of work to do! Take care, Bob.

|Christin Bartels||Ole Hattervig|
Here is a website that contains all that are buried in the Hattervig Cemetery. Unfortunately, there is not a photo of Ole. I am working with the gentleman (Ken Tiahart) who did all the work for the Turner County Cemeteries. I have his permission to use any photos on his website, but I can't post Ole's picture since there isn't one.

It would appear from this website that this grave has no headstone. The town office assures me that all headstones have been included.

|Jaci||re Steve Candy photo request|
Please contact me in regards to the Steve Candy (Jr.) photo you requested. There is NO stone. He is buried next to his parents. I took a "plot" photo, which I could place on his memorial should you wish. Let me know one way or the other. Thanks!

I posted a picture for Katharine J Johnson, near other stones for Samuel Johnson d 1892, Mary Johnson 1835-1906, Archibald Johnson, Nancy Johnson, Oscar and Isabella (?). Since the spelling of "Katharine" was different i wasn't sure if this group is yours. If you are interested in pictures of the other stones, let me know.

I have written your information down and will keep it until weather permits to find stone. We were lucky in Iowa and the weather was mild but Jan. 12th we were hit with a lot of snow.
