Hello, Just wanted to let you know I sent you 2 Edits for acceptance on Mary Ellen Tyre. One Edit is for her Maiden Name and the other Edit is for her Death Date. Please accept these two Edits on Mary Ellen Tyre's Memorial. Oh, you should have received an Email from Find A Grave with an Obituary I entered in the Others Edit. If you didn't receive that email of her Obituary, please advise and I will send directly to your email address. Many thanks, Jeannie Mock Irwin, 48402560

Hi, I have searched and searched, I don't think he has a headstone, his wife Jane does, would you like a photo of it? Jane has a memorial page # 110776858.

RE: Unrequested memorial transfer
Hi Francine,
I am not related either - if you don't want the memorial, I will take it. 1 more doesn't really matter to me.

I searched today for James Strickland, only found a Jane Strickland. Is she his wife? If so, I have a photo of her headstone. I will look again next week. Do you have any info on James? like birth/death dates?

Steven Earl Dixon
I will get Steven's obituary on my next trip to the library. I don't know what info it contains yet, I just know that it is available. I can get it as a digital copy and email it to you.

RE: Olivia Ray Schmidt Dixon
I am glad you asked about Otto. He is next to Olivia and I took the photo but somehow missed the fact that he did not have a memorial. I have added it now.

RE: James Copeland
I checked my emails and I received the request from you on 11/27/2013 requesting a photo of the marker. A notification was sent that there was no marker. On 12/9/2013 you sent a request "Note from contributor: A photo of the spot, even if there are no markers, and an overview shot of the area would be appreciated." I did verify with the Morton Cemetery Association as well as an obituary index the location of the burial and the fact that no marker had been placed.

Virginia Wood
Bryan Family Tree
We are related through Frederick Bryan (he's my 3rd great grandfather) who was most probably born in South Carolina between 1761 and 1770 -- both place and date estimates being based on census data on both him and his son James Madison. Do you have any information on his parentage? This is driving me crazy. My grandfather, Thomas Beauregard Bryan, Jr., was a serious genealogist who traveled around the south in the 1930s and '40s looking for records, and he couldn't get any further back than that, either. I would kill for information on this family with documentation. In return, I have some original documents with Frederick's signature on them, and a land grant in his name. I would be happy to make high-quality photos of them for you if you'd like to have them! Would love to connect with you on as well, if you use it. Thank you!

A death record for Mary has been posted. It's a bit blurry but that's the way it was on-line. If you need help reading it, let me know. This Mary Morgan was single and 18 years old. Her parents were Joseph and Mattie.

RE: Novice M Aldridge
Sorry it took so long. I had to go out of town for few days. I went by the cemetery and checked There is one space to the left of her marker but no marker. To the left there is about four spaces but no markers. The lady that I work with at the cemetery is out of town this week. When she gets back I will check to see if graves are just unmarked graves.

You're very welcome. I took pictures of his wife and son's markers also, as well as some other Jones nearby. I'm not sure whether they are related or not. I'm also not sure if his wife is dead yet.

Hi, Cleveland is in my mother's family line and I was wondering where the info at the top of his memorial came from. And do you know what happened to his 2 other children-Burton and Lucille. He and Athie are in my LEGGETT family tree and I have just a small bit of information on that part of the family. I would appreciate any help you could give. My mother was Lois Maybelle Leggett Teston. Thank you, Janice Teston Cathcart

RE: Daniel Lane Photo Request
There were some unmarked graves in the area of this tombstone. I don't remember exactly how many or how close they were to the Osgood Lane tombstone. This cemetery has several unmarked graves throughout it. My apologies.

I live about 2+ hours away from there so if I make another trip, I will be glad to look again as well as take pictures of the area around the grave for you. However, I am not certain when I will go. May not be until summer.

I will also upload the picture of Osgood Lane's tombstone for you. Hopefully tonight.

Daniel Lane Photo Request

I recently visited Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery and was hoping to fill your photo request for Daniel Lane.

I only found one tombstone for LANE. It was for an Osgood D. Lane with the dates March 7, 1889 - January 19, 1919.

Could this be your Daniel? I didn't know if Daniel was his middle name.

I don't want to upload the photo not knowing for sure. If you can let me know, I'll be glad to upload it.

RE: James Copeland
The administrator for the page doesn't have the information that you requested regarding who signed. She is just working from lists. You might want to contact Garmany and Carden Funeral home in Richmond 281-342-4671 to see what information they have on the burial. They usually handle most of the burials in Richmond. There was not an obituary posted online for the library. According to the map I have of the burials in that section Copeland was the owner of the plot. He is buried between Abilmona and Terrel. At the head of his plot is a section called Babyland and at the foot is Kujawa. I can stop by the library this week and see if I can locate an obituary in their files.

RE: Susan Q Mock
The Mocks are pretty much within 3 specific areas of the Lake Lindsey Cemetery; all in somewhat of an alignment about 6 or 7 plots to the left when entering the cemetery directly opposite the Eden Baptist Church. Dividing the cemetery front to back are three drives; two just driven paths while the center one of the three is paved. Starting at the front path about 6 or 7 plots to the left then, and then all the way to the rear of the cemetery all of the Mocks can be found.

Susan is in the front most segment in a plot to be shared with her yet living husband with a stone, I expect, to be a shared stone to be manufactured later.

Lake Lindsey is a very small community of a population of just 49 in the 2000 census. Hence, almost all of these 1,966 individuals are related to one another with living relatives still in the area as members of the congregation of the Eden Baptist Church. There is a gentleman among that current congregation that is performing an inventory of the cemetery with it found that some of the existing plot and lot numbers are incorrect --- the cemetery very aged dating back to pre civil war with a section for both civil war soldiers and blacks carved out from the main.

Among the living Mocks that can almost certainly address your every question is Clariece P Mock, her husband interred very close to Susan; listed in the white pages:

Clariece P Mock
21290 Yontz Rd
Brooksville, FL 34601

or --- Susan's surviving husband; also in the white pages:

John A Mock Sr
8112 Adrian Dr
Brooksville, FL 34613
