RE: Spencer/ Blackwell
I have an old Spencer family tree by one of the relatives in Ireland; he has a note that says Sarah Spunner most likely nee Blackwell. Never saw it on the papers until I looked at it again the other day.

Right now I decided to try to sort out all of the Astbury's. There were so many with the same name and similar birth years.

I'll let you know if I do fgure out if there is a Blackwell connection.

RE: Brett Mount's Genealogies
So that I can properly source it, as I trust your research, can I please have the book publisher, city and state published and the date published please. Also if they have ISBN Numbers that would be great too I can find the books there.

I'm having trouble finding the books in the MARC catalog. Is the title Mounts of or is it Mount of ??

RE: Spencer/ Blackwell
Sorry it's taken me so long to get back here. I've been on Ancestry almost 2 years, have not used my 2 week trial yet so can't see public trees. I'm going to do the trial in the near future. If there is a relation to my son it would be 4th plus

I'm wondering where the name came from. Hope HTML works Sarah Ellen Spencer Astbury's brother was named Samuel Blackwell Spencer (1889-1897). I'm thinking it came from somewhere, then we have her son William marrying your distant cousin.

Spencer/ Blackwell
Have you dne DNA at any of the sites? Blackwell was a middle name of one of the Spencer kids so am wondering if there's any relation. I traced their find a garves and family search profiles but have a lot more to do. If you did DNA we can see if you're a match to my son or his 2nd cousin that's closer in line

Joe Eckols
Joseph Reginald Pierson, Jr - 179629720
I have created a memorial for Mr. Pierson. Based on the memorial for his first wife, Barbara, I have placed burial at Highland. I can not confirm that at this time. There is a grave marker there for him as seen on her memorial. Since you maintain her memorial, I would be happy to transfer this memorial to you. Best wishes, joe

Good afternoon:
I understand you are the "go-to man" for Henry C. Laning ancestry. I am trying to fill in gaps on the Evans/Ford/Reed/Laning history. Any information you can give me is really appreciated. Thank you! Sincerely, Rootie

Jacqueline Thomas
two questions re Benjamin Hart, Sr.'s info
1) Why is Samuel Hart mentioned in the text second paragraph as a brother, but not listed as a sibling under Family Links?

2) Why is there no Benjamin Hart, Jr. listed under Children?

I am researching my Hart family history and have definitively linked to a James Newton Hart, son of Benjamin Hart, Jr. and Benjamin Hart, Sr., but am trying to identify the correct Benjamin Hart Jr. and Sr., as there were evidently many of them during the period in question.

Thank you,
J Hart Thomas

Bruce Varcoe
Edwin George EASTMAN 1833-1872

Just wondering what your connection is to Edwin George EASTMAN who is buried in Hallowell, Maine. He is my ancestor. You probably know he was US Consul in Queenstown (now Cobh), Ireland from 1863-1869 appointed by good ol honest Abe LINCOLN. All three of his daughters were born in Queenstown and married Canadians.

Hi Joseph,
We do a lot of similar research... I was researching my Mathews family and noticed that Warren G. Mathews (1842-1917) served with this company but is not included on your list. Thought you might like to know:)

Hart Cromwell

I originally had Hart Cromwell in Titusville Cemetery in 2003. When I found out that he was moved I listed him in Highland Cemetery where he was moved to. I removed him from Titusville Cemetery and then someone else put him back there. I feel he should be listed in Highland Cemetery where he is now buried.

Susan Powers Bourne
RE: Annie Daniel
Hi Joe:

Haven't figured out how to leave a private message but public's okay with me.

I found info on Anne Sturges Daniel on pp. 429-230 in Notable American Women, 1607-1950: A Biographical Dictionary, Volume 3, Radcliffe College.

I'll leave the birth date up to you. I've seen Annie's birth listed as 1856, 1857, 1858, and even 'estimated' as 1860 in one US Census.

If you ever find a copy of her birth certificate, I'd be interested to see what it says. I'm not related to Annie or Jessie by blood that I know of, but I do honor their lives and works.

Thanks again for being in touch.

RE: John Hancock Sr. and Jr.
I was happy to do that. I have ties through the Hancock family. (Trying to link this one with mine, I think they are connected.)

John, Jr. did not have any descendants.

HANCOCK, JOHN JR., 84, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday (Aug. 23, 2000) at Vencor Hospital - St. Petersburg. He came here in 1975 from his native Philadelphia. He was a retired clerk for a boiler manufacturer in Pennsylvania. He was Protestant. Survivors include several cousins, including Dorothy Wilson McCullough, Atlantic Beach. John S. Rhodes, East Chapel, St. Petersburg.
