John O'Toole Sr, and the Almy's
John's headstone, as well as the Almy's have been covered over by years of neglect. I found the sites for the Almy's, but I did not have the needed tools to remove the 3 inches of dirt and grass that had grown over their markers. I will try to go back as soon as the rain stops.
I found John's son in row 7, but no luck with Sr.
I did find and photograph Laurence O'Toole right next to John Jr. If he is a relative I will send the photo along. Any chance the office confused the 2 John's?

RE: Mount Tamalpais Cemetery Photo Requests
Hi Michelle,

Mary and Charles Almy sound familiar but I am not sure if that is the particular request that went with your name, we don't record them unless we actually claim them. We have responded to all the requests that were for Mt. Tam at the time we went to fill the requests. We will only claim the photo requests once we are actually able to fill them within a timely manner. We will be back in the San Rafael area March 8th, and were hoping to have the locations as part of the requests by then either for us or any other volunteers. Thanks!!

Mount Tamalpais Cemetery Photo Requests
Hello Michelle,

We went to Mount Tamalpais Cemetery to try to fill your photo request and were told the information would be gladly given to a family member either by phone or by email. We too will send an email with the information request and hopefully we can get somewhere. The other place we were told to inquire with would be the Marin County Genealogical Society (she works on an volunteer basis, so please be patient). We are in this area at least once a month and highly enjoy this past time. We look forward to working with you in the future!

Thanks,

Kimi and Tennille

Mary & John Bustin
Hello, it make take a few days for me to find these graves. As long as the weather holds up, I'll keep going back, as I use it as an opportunity to document other graves. I spoke with the office and they confirmed both Mary & John are in the cemetery. Unfortunately, they were buried at a time (1904 & 1901) when the burials were recorded in a book book which made a note of the burial date, but didn't include the plot location information. There's also another potential problem...I'm told there was a fire in the cemetery which destroyed most of the wooden grave markers. I don't know if these markers were wooden or not, but I wanted to mention this, as this is a possibility. I'll keep at it -- if they're there, I'll find them!

RE: Ann O'Toole
Do you have any of the Boyd's first names so I can also find the plot?

I will gladly take the photo if you can give me the grave location. I gave them her name and dates, but your additional information provided a much better search result. Thanks, Joanne

I've forgotten William Genova?
You just uploaded a photo for me for William Genova. But I'm afraid I've forgotten who that is and what cemetery and I do not have that person in my family tree. Can you give me the Find A Grave#? Thanks for the photo, Lynn

Mt Tamalpais Cemetery requests
Hello! Today when I visited the cemetery, the people in the office said they were too busy to look up all the names I needed to find (there were twelve). They said they'd look in their records and figure out the grave locations, but would need to do it in their spare time, so it may take a few days to get this done.
Meanwhile, I was able to find 3 of the graves without their assistance (Elizabeth, Lawrence and the younger John O'Toole) and have uploaded those pictures. Those graves are all in Garden A2 (in front of the Chapel) and fairly close to each other. We searched the area, but couldn't find the elder John O'Toole, so I'll need to wait for them to look up the exact location. Also, I was told there's no "section C" so I couldn't find Elizabeth today. Most likely they've re-named their plot areas since 1902. I found an area named "Garden C" but they were all fairly recent graves. I'll give them a call in a few days to follow up on their progress.
