Correction for H. Emma Chapman
Hello. On your listing for H. Emma Chapman, you have a death date of 17 May 1933. That's actually the burial date. She died in a car accident in Plain Township, Wayne County, Ohio on 14 Mar 1833.

Her parents were Samuel Hosmer Luce (1845-1929) and Lucinda Maria [Nichols] Luce (1843-1919).

OBITUARIES:

Bass Family Cemetery, Edmeston NY
The next time you happen to be in this area, and if at all possible, please take whatever photos you can of these 9 headstones. Eliezer and Desire Bass are my 4GGParents and any help would be much appreciated (I live in Kansas City, Missouri and won't be in NY State anytime in the near future).

Thank you!
Lisa

Too many George Sills?
Received a note implying that I had a duplicate file for George Sill. The one I have is the only one listed in cemetery, and also for year.

Thanks for your attention.

Clay Holland Brown
Thank you SO much for finding my great-grandfather's grave! He died mysteriously in 1902, and there is no one left in my family to ask about him. His father was Almon J. Brown and his mother was Ada Alissa Cole Brown, and I believe they both are buried in Brookfield as well; should you happen across their graves, I would love to have photos of them as well.

Thank you so much.

RE: More headstone photos
We took the list of requested photo with us, so those are names we had in mind. We didn't see them.
That doesn't mean they're not there. I'm sure we missed a lot. We also found a stone that someone else had missed before.

White - Warner
I haven't found anything on the Warners but I really haven't looked much lately. Too many health issues in the last two years. I will try to get my act together and start again.

I did find an obituary for Earl White that I believe is Fred White's brother. I set up a memorial and requested a photo. Probably not a good time for a photo request with all the snow they are getting now. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=104279165

The Whites
Are Jennie and Ervin White related to Fred White? I am kind of guessing maybe they are his parents.

RE: Problem with bush
That is great. Rules do permit that and as I said before, we would rather the relatives remove the bushes. Caretaker says go for it!. You will need a chain saw for the big bush. Regular long handled pruning sheers will do ok for the picky bush next to the other graves.

RE: Problem with bush
Care taker says that is fine. In fact there are other Dunbars right next to that (Harold and Nelly) that has a bush we were planning on getting rid of anyway.

RE: Problem with bush
No the cemetery is well taken care of. We don't like to trim back shrubs as a manner of respect to the families that put them there, unless they are encroaching on the stone its self. I would say that this is the case with this bush. I did take a pic of both graves today but had help holding the bush back. If you are able to come take care of that bush, you can give us a call as my husband is the caretaker and president of the cemetery association. I will fulfill the photo request so you can see the pictures.

RE: Headstone photo
I'm sorry, I can't. The photo request for Bessie had already been claimed by another person before I claimed the remaining Chapman requests. That person still has the right to fulfill that request. If her claim expires I will be happy to upload another copy of the same photo for Bessie Chapman's page. Just playing by the rules...Don Specht

RE: Headstone photo
Not a problem, perhaps the picture will help someone else. I owe you two more pics from Fairfield - when I was out there today, I didn't see the stones. Looking for some help from the managers of the cemetery, but first I have to find out who they are. I've sent out an inquiry; hopefully I'll get a response and then photos on findagrave.

I've tried multiple times to get the memorial for Joseph Uriah Warren from the Gledhill cemetery transfered to me with no success. I'm not sure what to do.

RE: hartwick cemetery caretaker
Yes, good thinking! Maybe you can email Findagrave and suggest it, I'm sure they would be open to it.... all they'd have to do is add a place on the website for it. I wish more folks knew about F.A.G. Sometimes when I talk to anyone I run into in a cem, they have never heard of it.

RE: hartwick cemetery caretaker
She lives across the street in a white house, I think they run a headstone business. I don't live near there so I can't tell you any more, but this is the Hartwick Seminary cem. (there is a Hartwick Cemetery, but that's somewhere else).
