RE: Pragers
Hi Annie,

I have no information regarding their son, but if he is buried at Oak Woods, I did not find his stone next to his parents. If you have more information and know where he is buried, I would recommend adding a memorial for him. There is no indication that anyone in his family would have other preferences, especially since he died so long ago. If you would like me to add him, I can, but please provide me with as full information as you are able. Thank you!

You wrote: Hi and thank you for all the memorials you have done! So, so many! None are our family, was looking for someone found in an article and see you added his parents, unknowingly. He does not seem to have a Find A Grave memorial but perhaps this is out of a family's wishes. This man's son was a victim in a terrible story, 1917, just a normal, hard working guy swept up in the then-hysteria sweeping America.Photos of his grave elsewhere, a miner, union leaders tried to save the guy. Their logo is on his grave. We had miners trying to help each other here, too- how I came across Robert, Jr.'s story. Ours were the Molly Maguires.

Anyway, didn't know if you wished to add Robert, Jr.'s memorial, or look into it. Poor guy. Thanks very much again!

RE: Mary McPherson Stuart
Hello Annie, I read your message regarding Mary McPherson Stuart.
The dates listed are not set in stone. I like to add children's names to memorials in case someone knows of their burial location so then the family members can be connected.

George Zwicker
Hey! Thanks! Welcome! I'm new here myself. My dad's cousins were Zwickers. They helped me get my Gateses unstuck. I am attempting to reciprocate the same for them (two separate branches). There was so much hearsay out there that I've been trying very carefully to document as much as can be done. I'm available and willing to discuss any details. --Barry Gates, Beverly MA USA

RE: Mary Magdalena Milner DeLong
Mary Magdalena Milner (Miller) b. 03 Feb 1787: d. 03 Jun 1864 Bond Twp, Lawrence Co. IL. is my 3rd Great Grandmother, married to Peter DeLong, b. 1782-1840, both buried at Pollard Cemetery, Bond Twp, Lawrence Co. IL. Both came from Berks Co. PA, Peter was born there. I have that Mary Magdalena was born there also. Her parents were Michael * Milner, b. 05 Oct 1855 in Cash Community, Scott County, Mississippi, married to Josephine Ruth * Moore b, 1848 Mississippi.
After Peter died in 1840 Mary Magdalena had to saell their property, log house, and much of her personal and Household things. I dod have the Sale Bill for most of that. I got that at the Lawrence County Court House in Lawrenceville, IL. Plus much documentation. If you wish more documentation please let me know, but I should send it by e-mail.
If your DNA proves you that Mary Magdalena is your ancestor as well as mine was are distant cousins.
Regards. Joanne

RE: question about Keep house
Thanks so much for replying! We did have a brief email exchange way back at New Year's, but you never replied to my last message -- I think it was an email you don't use anymore. I do subscribe to, so please point me in the right direction there, I am very eager to learn more about the house and its former occupants!

question about Keep house
I found the house photo you posted along with Col. Caleb Keep's grave in Hector. I am researching our house's history, and I am quite sure this is it. Do you have any more information you could share?

RE: Conrad Miller sponsorships
My direct line is Anna Miller Detweiler. I never knew that Conrad Miller remarried until a few years ago, even though I had family genealogy dating back to possibly the 1940s on this line. I will be glad to share anything that I have discovered. I sent you some corrections for Pierson Miller. The cemetery used to have a caretaker there but they fired him years ago. I did look through the book that they had long ago. I think that you have to write to the cemetery to get plot locations etc.

RE: Credit
Just thought I'd say hello. Hope this finds you well and happy!

Added by SKP on Apr 02, 2014 5:44 PM

Even if you might not care one way or the other, I will always try to give you credit (and others) credit for your photos and the research you've done. First of all, you deserve it, and second, it really irritates me when people copy photos and information without giving credit. A couple of the reasons for my irritation is that I traveled somewhere around 2400 miles round trip at no small expense to take photos of the Huson and other family (and non-family) graves and have literally spent thousands of dollars over the years doing on-site research in various locations including New York, New Jersey, Texas, Illinois, and Nebraska; paying membership dues; and more. Whew...thanks for letting me get that off my chest!

Again, have a happy Thanksgiving. In case I'm not in touch with you before 2014, here's wishing you a joyous, peacefull Christmas and a prosperous, happy, and healthy New Year!

RE: Our Betsey!
I think she was attractive as an older women as well as when she was younger, but I'll use the younger image to please her. I would LOVE to have the letter she wrote. I'd love anything else you have of interest, of course but I don't want you to spend valuable time digging up things for me. Since I'm an Ancestry member, I'll look for your tree and see what you have online, assuming that's OK with you.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Betsy Crego Huson Photo
Hello again, Pest (kidding again, of course)!use it.

This evening I was browsing through findagrave and was delighted when I came across the photo you added to Betsy (Crego) Huson's memorial. would it be OK with you for me to copy the photo for use on my personal (and non-public) family tree? I would give you credit for the photo, certainly, but won't use it if you have any objection at all.

I have one more question, two actually. Are you the one who asked me to add her obituary? If so, would it be OK for me to add it to my personal tree, giving you credit?

Hope all is well,

I transferred to you. I didn't put these ones up, Tim Gruber did and when I tried to send in a email about a correction for one, it wouldn't let me, so I contact him elsewise and he explained why, and I emailed Find A Grave about it and told them I am willing to take them over as long as he still keeps the credit for them.
Thanks about my note, long story, but I get so mad when a certain person from out of the county scours my local paper and puts the memorials up from it, they don't live near Schuylkill and it burns me up because I am able and willing to put them up.

Nikita Barlow
Malinda Blalock/Blaylock
Greetings, Annie!

Thanks for your message. Yes, I am familiar with Malinda & her husband's colorful history, having first read about them in a book about the second of Stoneman's Raids. Their surname was spelled Blalock, & when I searched Findagrave, I didn't find entries for them. I learned of the alternate spelling, Blaylock, from a subsequent internet search, which also turned up their memorial pages on Findagrave. As I've explained to other gravers who've contacted me, I made the Blalock ("See Blaylock") entries because many people only know them by that name, and the Blaylock entries are well done.

Best regards,
