RE: Re Friend Sturtevant
Thanks, I followed through on your link to the Hartland Vermont
http://www.hartlandhistory.org/stone_detail.php?recno=1372

It says he is buried in Old South Church, Boston, and that there is a stone is located in Hartland Village cemetery. Thanks for referring me to this site.

I visited Hartland about 10 years ago but didn't take detailed notes.

Re Friend Sturtevant
I appreciate the work you have done. A lot of my relatives are in Hartland, Vermont.
I have a question about your record for my 3GGrandfather Friend Sturtevant with a death date of 1873 buried at the Hartland Village Cemetery (Memorial ID #74814569).

Other records I have including the Robert Hunter Sturtevant, Descendants of Samuel Sturtevant, have Friend Sturtevant's death as August 26, 1830. That is also the date in the Find A Grave Memorial ID#61192528 which has Friend Sturtevant buried at the Hartland Plains Cemetery. Both have the same birth date and you list both records under his wife Sarah Porter Sturtevant #74815010.

Are there markers in both cemeteries?

Thanks,
Hope Tillman

RE: Annie Swasey
Hi Carol,

I did some looking up and here is what Find a Grave states on obituaries:

Do not copy obituary notices from newspapers (or from funeral home notices or web sites) to an individual's memorial record unless you have permission from the newspaper to do so or you are the author of the obituary.

I hope this helps

Thanks,
Tyler

Annie Swasey
Hi Carol,

Thanks for sending me the obituary for Annie Swasey but I am under the impression adding obituaries to the bios to memorials is against the rules. Therefore I respectfully decline to add the obituary to her memorial. I hope you understand.

Thanks,
Tyler

Howland's wife Priscilla was my 1st cousin once removed. They were both very very helpful with my genealogical research when I first started. Both were very nice. Unfortunately I never met them face to face. If you have a copy of Howland's obituary could you please send me a copy? 6camaros@att.net Thanks!

Good morning Carol,
I do not usually add obits per the Find A Grave guidelines. I would be happy to transfer Warren to your care if you like and then you can add what you want.
Thanks, Alan

Hi Carol,

Thanks for the info. I tried adding his wife but the number you provided is for someone else. And I can't add the daughter to his memorial, but you can add him to her's.
