Jeremiah Satchwell
I have been researching Jeremiah, I think it's a strong possibility that he is closely related to the first Satchwell in our line to come to the US (there were only two or three in this country before 1790). Since he died before the first census it's been difficult but I did a Google books search and found quite a bit of backround information, some of which I was able to corroborate on Ancestry and Family Search. Are you open to a transfer? If not, would you like me to send the info as an edit for his biography? Thanks!

George Seitz
Shepard Alonzo Mount

Thank you for your consideration in pointing out that the information I received regarding Shepard Mount's interment must be in error. I read in a contemporary account that he was with his family. How should we rectify this? I could move him to the right yard and use your marker photograph, or you could use my bio and portrait.

Thank you again,

George Seitz

Haddonfield Baptist Cemetery
I see that you have added several memorial pages from the Haddonfield Baptist Cemetery. I have been slowly...little by little...photographing, transcribing and uploading photos. As you know, it's very time consuming. I walked over there today and photographed a fairly large section, but I think I may be duplicating your efforts. Can you tell me what/where you have photographed so we don't waste time and effort. I have completed sections K & L (on the far right as you enter from Kings Hwy.) Thanks.....Cindy

Myron Mike Crandall
Martha Hulbert and Daniel Ferguson
I just can't leave this alone. I found something about the 1860 US Census. Here it is;
Looks like the census's 1870-1875-1880 belong to Martha Hulbert.
Also looks like The book, "John Pember, The History of the Pember Family in America"
was wrong this time. Also Mrs. Celeste Pember Hazen did have to go to the census to get the childrens names that she listed as Martha Pembers children.

1860 US Census Caldwell, Warren, New York
Daniel Ferguson M abt 1814 46 New York
Martha Ferguson F abt 1829 31 New York
Pennie Ferguson F abt 1855 5 New York <- matches Jennie in 1870-1875-1880 Census's
Margaret Ferguson F abt 1858 2 New York <- matches Maggie in 1870-1875-1880 Census's
Joseph Ferguson M abt 1832 28 New York <- Brother of Daniel - son of John & Margaret
Pamelia Ferguson F abt 1846 14 New York <- matches child in handwritten paper
Frank Ferguson M abt 1849 11 New York <- matches child in handwritten paper
John Ferguson M abt 1788 72 New York <-John father of Daniel
Margaret Ferguson F abt 1792 68 New York <-Margaret Skellie wife of John
Susan Ferguson F abt 1832 28 New York <- unknown
Julia Ferguson F abt 1855 5 New York <- matches child in handwritten paper

This is copied from the handwritten family paper;

Parents- John Ferguson born in Scotland 1790 died 1873
Margaret Shellie 1790-1822
Eleven Children- John, Jane, Daniel, Margaret, James, Elizabeth,
Mary Ann, one died in infancy, William, Joseph, and Kat**
Printed in Albany 186*

I am not sure what to think about Martha Pember.

Pictures of vital records of family
My name is Myron Mike Crandall. I am not related to this family but came across them while looking in for Martha Pember who married Daniel Ferguson. The birth dates and places of both Martha Pember AND Daniel Ferguson are a match! However both families are well sourced! I am related to Martha Pember as my mother was a Pember. Seems impossible.
The Pember source is from a book:

"John Pember, The History of the Pember Family in America"
Compiled By Mrs. Celeste Pember Hazen.

At least two of Martha's daughters predeceased her. Two daughters
had children, deceased. One aged son in Lucerne is the last survivor
of her family.

I have been looking and looking for other sources for Martha Pember like a marriage record, but seems like in that area and period of time the record cannot be found possibly because they have not been copied from original yet.
There are census records found for one of the families but not the other. The records contain several children but not all are a match for Martha Hulbert's family but to be fair Mrs. Celeste Pember Hazen took her list of children from she wrote a "1875 US Census". She must have meant a New York State census as there was no 1875 US Census.

Here are the Census's I have found;

1850 US Census "Caldwell", Warren, New York
Orrin Pember M abt 1815 35 Vermont
Joseph Pember M abt 1838 12 Vermont
Mary Pember F abt 1815 35 Vermont

On the Daniel Ferguson picture you will find;
Eleven Children- John, Jane, Daniel, Margaret, James, Elizabeth,
Mary Ann, one died in infancy, William, Joseph, and Kat**
Printed in Albany 186*

These names that are listed in the Census's are not listed in the handwritten paper:
Jennie, Pamelia, Frank, Susan, Julia, David, or Emily

These names that are listed in the handwritten paper are not listed in the Census's:
Jane, James, Mary Ann, William, or Kat*

These names are in both the handwritten paper and the Census's:
John, Daniel, Margaret, Elizabeth, Joseph

To me it appears that the census's above are not the same family as Martha Hulbert and Daniel Ferguson.

Willis Gaylord Clark in Philly
Hello, I was looking for the grave of Willis Gaylord Clark, in Philly, and I noticed that in your record you appear to have posted a picture from someone else's marker? Was that a mistake I wonder, or don't you have a picture of the Clark family stones? Thanks for any help; I am writing a book on poets' graves, and Clark was a poet.

Hi Dawn! Glad you chose to include Marys obituary. The ones used these days seem fresh out of a cookie cutter for the most part. I would just as soon not have any acknowledge on her memorial. W all contribute what we can. Check out 69451763. Catherines if probably my favorite so far, not just because the obit is great, but because her stone was broken. She was listed as Unknown Robe. Thanks for all you do!!
