Although I don't remember adding the obit I either looked it up or someone sent it to me and asked me to add it. I am sorry I never did get back to you. Glad its posted either way, I hope it was helpful to you.

RE: Deshayes and Letellier

No, I am not related to them. But, as a hobby (I am retired), I study the thousands of coal-miners of my region (and Belgium) who emigrated to the USA.

Most records are online and I know how to read them in French. So, I think that I can help American people find back their ancestors and correct numerous mistakes which are quite natural from abroad. I do not study people who were born in the USA. I only want to make a link between France, Belgium and the USA.

This week, I have studied the LETELLIER back to 1800, I think.

If you are interested, just have a look at our family tree "anniedemory" on Geneanet. Easy access : type "annie demory" in Google and, when you are on the tree, type LETELLIER (or DESHAYES) in "surnames". It is free.

You can leave a private message there if you like. If you wish, I can also send you a PDF file for LETELLIER (or any other surname that I have studied).

Best regards,

Jean-Luc Coubronne (France)

RE: ooops
I dont think there is any records from UMWofA. If so I have never heard of them. I do plan on visiting the Musselshell Valley Hist Soc. sometime, I have never been there. I dont think they have any burial records but it is one thing I am going to check on while there. They close during the winter and I may be too late this year. I have been to the funeral home in Roundup and asked about their early records and they usually just tell me they are buried in a certain cemetery with no exact location. I forget what funeral home did his funeral but it was probably Acton. There are no records from them. I will try and look at that on his death cert the next time I am at the courthouse.

I meant to ask if you had any luck locating a gravestone for Camille Dessy when you visited the cemetery?

I have added the short death mention/obituary for him on his memorial. If there is anything else I can do for you please let me know. On the death cert it only says died and buried in Roundup, it does not give the cemetery.

I have neve been to either one and found the gates locked, however the gates are always closed. If you are talking about the older UMWofA cemetery the gate will probably be closed and there is only a small area along the highway to park. What I do when I have to visit there is park inside the Odd Fellows cemetery that is right across the street and walk across. There is a gate and steps that go down to cross the highway from Odd Fellows to UMWofA. If you are talking about the newer one the gate is usually closed but as your looking at the cemetery from the highway on the far left side there is an open gate that you can drive through to enter the cemetery and drive all over. Although there is a little room to park along the highway if the gate is closed I always go through the left hand side gate because I spend quite a bit of time there. Just as a side note not sure how tall the grass is at both cems right now but especially at the older cem watch for snakes!! :)

You are welcome. I am always glad when I can transfer a memorial over to the person's relative when it is not my own.

OK, thanks for letting me know. The first pics I did, about half of the gravestone was covered by a shadow from a nearby tree. I went ahead and added them to Joseph's Find A Grave page thinking that I would be back up to the cemetery pretty soon at which time I would get better pics which I did.
I could email you the "worser" pics if you like? Things happen when we are gone away from home do they not? :-] Hope you had a nice trip?

I just wanted to let you know I do not think she has a stone, I have photographed the whole cemetery and must not have found 1 for her. I will revisit the cemetery sometime soon and just take another walk around and make sure I didnt miss it. Would you like for me to check for an obituary for her? I wouldnt mind doing that. Also noticed that her death date is Oct 18, not 19..I corrected it on her memorial.

No I am not related to him. I only photograph grave stones in my area. I also do volunteer research for people who are not in this area if you need anything looked up.

RE: letellier
I've not found any info on a Mary Letellier but Clementine Letellier's maiden name was Falise. I'll have a look around to see if I can find anything more. Gustave Jr was my Grandfathers brother. I'll do my best to find something out for you.
