Thanks so much for taking and posting the tombstone picture of Rose Conley. I knew there was a picture on her husband's memorial but thought she should have one as well. They are Conley distant relatives.

Photo request for Myles Michael McPartlin
Hi Sandra,
I have updated the information for both Myles and Mary (his wife). I was able to determine Myles using cemetery documents stating that he was 79y 2m 25d old. Used a tool that I have to use the "age" to determine his birth date. No such luck for Mary. They have links to each other now.

I have a census record taken 2 April 1911 from Greagh, Lough Allen, Roscommon, Ireland that indicates Mary was 33 years old at the time of the census. This coincides with cemetery records indicating her age at death was 47 years and places her year of birth at 1878.

A question I have is was Mary married to Myles or was she a sibling? Other records may indicate Mary was a sibling.

RE: John Barker
I don't recognize any of those names. Not sure which John Barker you are referring to. there were several. Could you provide more info? Where did they live? Birth or death years?

I'm sorry for not responding sooner to thank you for the photo. I'm my father's caregiver and have not had time to catch up on my ancestry work. I truly appreciate you for doing this for a stranger.

Re: John H. Bryant
Hi, Sandra. I created the original memorial for John, but filled a request for a transfer to a relative. My brother had given me a list of people buried and the cemetery and that was what I was working from. Our family lived in that community for a few years as a child, so I was interested in adding the people buried there to Find A Grave. I don't recall adding the remark about the two daughters, but it was probably done by the person I transferred it to. I did a little checking tonight and found that the sisters lived in an "Industrial Home" (an orphanage?) in Maryville, in 1920, while their mother worked as a servant for the Charlie Wheeler family. If I still lived in that area, I certainly would check for a newspaper article for you, but I haven't been there in years. The person I transferred to lives in Arizona, so that's even farther away. The name of the newspaper is the Maryville Times, so you might google them and see if they could help you. I certainly wish I could!

Sandra, yes, I currently live near Dayton. The Obituary that you need of John, is it in Preble County? As far as I know, with Old Town Cemetery, a few stones were removed to Fairview Cemetery, Sugar Hill Cemetery and Sugar Grove Cemetery, but if the family of those who were buried weren't found, the stones were uprooted and thrown into piles in back of the church. I counted over 170 gravestones in the tree line that were tossed back there, and have even found gravestones that were supposed to be at Old Town being used as a floor of a barn. I think that it's shameful. Let me check to see the whereabouts of the Wysong gravestones and if they were moved. Peace Park is the park in which the town of West Alexandria built over top of the old graveyard. No bodies were removed, so people are picnicking on top of graves.

Wysong's at Old Town Cemetery
Sandra, here are the Wysong's that are known to be buried at Old Town Cemetery in West Alexandria, Ohio.
Fayette Wysong Died 1875
Henry Wysong Died 1862, aged 54 years *Moved to Sugar Hill Cemetery
Margaret Wysong 1808-1889
Mariah Wysong 1776-1879
Sarah Wysong 1812-1888
Valentine Wysong 1778-1860
These are known burials of Wysong's at Old Town. I lived for awhile near Farmersville, Ohio when I was just a child, and our neighbors were Wysong's. I think Arthur and Veronica Wysong were who they were. They were really nice people and Veronica was good friends with my grandmother. Veronica knew a lot about the local history and even knew about the small graveyard on our farm.
Please let me know how I might be able to further help you. I will be happy to help however I can.
