I am Carol Jacobs from the Platte Valley Kinseekers. We received your forwarded message from the historical society. I will ask the other members tomorrow what we can do to help. One of our members is a member also of the Cemetery board in Columbus, so she might be able to see if he was buried in a pauper's grave there in Columbus. Otherwise, we will see what others think.

I see. I remember going thru there some years ago and taking a photo of the sign on the gate of Clarks cemetery which is the one you see on findagrave. It looks like someone has told Find A Grave that the two cemeteries are actually only one. To fix that you need to go to Find A Grave forums, and there is a place there called something like "cemetery fix".

|Brad||RE: Clarks, NE cemeteries.|
Michelle, I admit you have me confused. Did you mean to send this to me? I live closer to Sioux City Iowa than anywhere, and don't believe I have ever been in either of the two cemeteries you refer to, not am I an administrator at findagrave. I truly am baffled at what you are asking me?

|Don||cemeteries - Merrick County|
Start with the CEMETERY SEARCH on the left side, and don't put in the cemetery name but leave it blank, but put in NEBRASKA for the State, then for County put in Merrick. Fairview is listed with 179 memorials, and Silver Creek is listed with 765 memorials. For CLARKS, you will need to contact FIND A GRAVE and notify them that there are two separate cemeteries. Provide them with any info that there are two separate cemeteries and request that the two (Calvary and Clarks) be separated. This may take some time depending how busy they are. As for the person you are looking for, there is a good chance that it is an unmarked grave. Cemetery records should have a copy of that. You could also contact the Merrick County Historical Society at web site:
Be aware that some cemeteries have changed names over the years, so you need to look at all cemeteries in the County and sometime in adjacent Counties as even though a cemetery is located near a city, it may be in a different County. As for starting to put memorials in for a "new cemetery" you are given the option on your memorial form when you click on State, County, then under Select Cemetery, the very first thing offered is "Add new Cemetery." Hope this assists and happy hunting.

both are buried at Normal Hill. I entered the info from cemetery records. The biggest clue that they are there, is there is plot info for them. I will take the pic today.

You are just to sweet!
These two that you have listed below are Oren's grand parents.
B. B. 1832-1915
Jeannette B. his wife 1833-1904
Please I don't want to take up any more of your time as I am not sure of my source. But I sure do appreciate all your hard work and sticking with it. Oh my, you need a medal, girl!
Thank you sooooo much!

|Jean Jorgensen||RE: Olsen twins photo request|
Hi Michelle! I stumbled upon a memorial for "Infants Unknown" Find A Grave#58982690. The stone is in the John Sothan Family Cemetery in Hallam, Lancaster County, Nebr.
I also learned that the parents of the twins lived in Buda, Nebr for several summers after they first came to America. Buda is no longer - but the town of Hallam is very close.
I will do more research to locate a church in the area that might have some records, or old listings of residents of Buda...
If you have any ideas, I would appreciate your input.
Thank you for your caring interest.

This cemetery is not being taken care of. The grass was taller than me. If I could see the top of a tombstone I headed in that direction. After shuffling around there for about a half hour I got kind of spooked. At one point I thought: what if I turn around and there is a tombstone right behind me? Another gal and I are hoping that in the early Spring maybe the grass won't be so high. Perhaps?

|Shirley (Bruhn) Martys||Broberg|
I see you are interested in the Broberg surname. I was at the Hope Cemetery yesterday and there are many buried there with that last name. If you do come to Platte County, be sure to get to that cemetery. It is just south of Newman Grove nearly on the county line. Shirley

|Shirley (Bruhn) Martys||RE: Grave|
I walked the cemetery and don't believe there was a stone for him but not to say he is not buried there since there are several "Nelson" names there. What type of document do you have stating the Bethany Cemetery? Bethany is not in Lindsay but out in the country. It is a Lutheran cemetery that at one time had a church on the grounds. If your document is reliable, I would say by all means put his memorial there and in the bio, state the document and what it says....Shirley

Hi. There are not any more headstones with the last name Kummetz next to or around Adeline. I will enter any that I find in a different section though.
