Nice to "meet" you! And you guessed it, Deacon Samuel Chapin (1598-1675) is my 8th great grandfather. You can read more about him and the statue erected by Chester Chapin here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Puritan_(Springfield,_Massachusetts). William Pynchon founded Springfield, Massachusetts in 1636 and the Deacon was one of 3 or 4 major figures who helped it grow into the city it is today...but enough about that!
I'll be happy to look into your questions and do the best I can to figure it out. It won't be tonight or tomorrow, but very soon as I'm highly motivated to keep all of my Find-A-Grave work accurate. There's certainly enough nonsense out there in spite of what Abraham Lincoln had to say: "If it's on the internet, it's true!"
My direct email address is firstname.lastname@example.org if you'd like to communicate directly. It might make this and other Chapin issues easier. You may also want to see https://www.facebook.com/groups/1480242528877924/ where there is usually a lot of Chapin Family discussion. And then www.oldbones.info.
Are you also related?

A friend of mine looked him up to take a photo of the grave and reported the following...
double checked with the office found the grave, there is no marker on it, just nice green grass the records do not have any mention about marker as that is for the family to buy and maintain..
I'm sorry about his death death at such young age.
Sorry we can't fulfill your photo request.

If you asked earlier, I must have missed it. My apologies. I am happy to transfer your family to you.

Happy to transfer to you. I'm sorry I've been out of town. Best wishes

I will transfer the memorial. You will have to contact the linked memorial's manager to get the link corrected--that was dropped onto the memorial and I have no control over it.

I'd love to talk about our family history. If it's OK with you I'd rather communicate by email instead of the Find A Grave site.
Your grandmother and my grandmother were sisters!

I added a little note to Margaret's memorial, explaining the Hackett headstone photo. I think it rather covers the situation. In fact, the photo may be useful to me should I be up in the Chicago area and stop by that cemetery (I have family buried there).
I wonder how she is related to the Hacketts?

|bill schultz||RE: 39565677 Margaret E Ledgett|
I asked at the cemetery office if Margaret Ledgett had a headstone. They informed me that she did not but was buried in the Hackett Family plot. So I used the Hackett Monument to use as reference if you ever get to the cemetery.

You are very welcome. I found other Burgess' graves and posted photos to them. I also located an infant grave of which there was no date, so entered a memorial as "Infant daughter" Burgess.
Take care. Linda Estes
