RE: Jeremiah King
Sorry for the mistake. According to the 1870 census his folks were Augustus and Elizabeth King. Do you have Jeremiah's obit? If not, let me know and I will email it. Thanks for catching my mistake.

Sorry, that wasn't very specific.
I think it's on a hillside behind a home around a curve beyond the pond.

You're welcome.

Also, the Westfall cemetery is just beyond the pond at Letter Gap, but I don't have coordinates.

Hello gilmerson,
Yes, I'm glad to do it, but it may take a little while.
In the meantime, I'm pretty sure this one is the same cemetery you're thinking of.

RE: Rachel Boyce Heater
I looked and see that M? Beasley and Elizabeth Horner married in 1849. Louisa was with her parents in 1850, but not in 1860.
First child of John and Elizabeth Beasley named Martha J.
So while it looks logical, so far no proof. Death records for the kids may yet yield a clue, did not find one right now. Looked in the Upshur Co. History by Cutright at the marriage listing but it did not cover the right year.
Sorry I could not be of more help. Hilda

Below is just a brief note:
Amanda Horner m. newton hess
Cennas Horner m. javan hess
Marinda Horner m. george cottrill

Ok, I see her in 1850. I also find the findagrave site for him. I deleted my "data photo"....my husband enrolled in findagrave a couple years before I started using it and my early work I sometimes delete when I find it. I will send you some fresh info and you can decide what you can use. Hilda

Russell, Do you have any dates or a site number for Samuel Heater? I did a quick check and found one (1806-1883) but I did not see a daughter Louisa in a census record. Give me a starting point and I will check it out. Hilda

I realize that we each have a preferred way to work, so to speak, but all enjoy seeing a family unit come together. I submit info when I can. What the site manager does with it I can not control and never know, UNLESS I come onto that site again and have info (maybe the same) and my short term memory does not stretch to remember.

In the case of Rachel, she was neice to my grandmother; lived with the family for a few years. You could transfer her to me or not. And apply what I submitted the way you think it looks best. (Just be warned that you might receive information all over again and don't get mad at me.) I have had that happen!! Hilda

RE: Nora Collins
THANK YOU.
I transferred her memorial to the right cemetery. Just another mental note to beware we all make errors along the way even good meaning folks making cemetery lists. I do not remember who I was trying to help, but she was not of their tree. If you are doing that whole cemetery I would be happy to transfer her memorial ove to you.
The "Very Best" to you and all yours, Bud

Thanks, but I found my info on her and several others in the WV Historical Center in Charleston, WV on one of my visits there. Several of the other names I put on came from that cemetery list now have photos of headstones provided by volunteers.
Do you have better info from some source?
Regards, Bud

RE: Collins family Lewis Co WV
Hey Russell
I have started looking for a Thomas, John, or William in Gilmer Co because those names are consistent in my Collins family. That were the dates on Thomas. My family arrived in Baltimore in the early 1840s from County Roscommon. They them moved to Lewis in 1850. Any of this sound like it fits with your family?

Broken tombstone FIXED
Wanted to let you know that the family of the Sandy infant son has fixed the tombstone in the Heater - Posey Run Cemetery - noticed you have a picture of just a bit of it and it is now there in one piece.

My hubby's siblings made a trip to the cemetery back in November 2013 - got tombstone pieces - fixed the best they could - replaced it today [August 5, 2014].
