Hi Ken,
I pulled some town records of the cemetery and determined that the new section is referred to as NewWest 2 (duh) and your assessment as A-1 is correct. My original post was probably a shaky finger error, but I have corrected it. Thanks for pointing out my error.

FYI: This 1942 Draft Registration card he gives Durango, Arizona as his birthplace. I also found an article in the paper from Sept. 1943 showing him as one on the long list of men who are being sought as draft evaders by the US MP's.

William Emory Wallace
I found an 1870 Ohio Census Lists Moses Wallace 49 born VA; Sarah Wallace 29 born Va; John E Wallace 12 born VA; Annie Wallace 10 born VA; Robert Wallace 5 born VA; Sanford Pelton 6 born OH(which I found out was Cordelia's son) and a Thos Wallace 1 born OH.

I found William's sister Cordelia Wallace Pelton at Caseville Township Cemetery, Hurion Co., Michigan. Her # 76192204

I found all kinds of information on William's mom Arnett side of the family. Many in Hixon Cemetery in Ohio and the Arnett Cemetery in West Virgina.

Oh yea and he died of cancer at his home 5 miles west of Moffit.

RE: Thomas Archie Turner
My mom suggested that I ask about when and where he died so that I can give that info to his daughter. Was it in hospital and if so what hospital? Do you know what he died from? I didn't think to ask that. Again, thank you so much. I know this will just be such a blessing and answered prayer to my cousin. I'd like to think that his son would be just as thrilled but I think because he is younger that he tends to pick sides with his mother and his heart has hardened. Or maybe he was too afraid to hope.

RE: Thomas Archie Turner
Thank you so much for replying. I just was afraid that maybe I had made you think twice about providing the information since it was such a personal thing.
Since I've been in touch with you, I've been in touch with Tommie's niece. I'm not sure if that is what he went by or how he may have spelled it, but that is how all of my Aunt's remember him as. He had a sister that died and it was her daughter that I've been in touch with. I noticed on her mother's obituary that there was no mention of any siblings and that both of Thomas' parents had passed away also. When I didn't see mention of Thomas, I thought maybe I had the wrong person. The niece did reply and she said that she had tried some to look for her Uncle but she didn't have much information and so she had given up.
I told her pretty much everything I've shared with you but I have not heard back from her. Makes my heart sink some for my cousin because I know that nothing would make her happier than to be in touch with some of her father's family. My Aunt was and still is very controlling and well that's another story but it's sad how she denied her children any access to their father and his family.
From what the niece did tell me in her original message made me think that for whatever reason, Thomas was estranged from his family. Again, makes me sad to see that happen in families but I know it is something all to well. I know without a doubt that it will be so comforting to my cousin to know that he did have friends as is evident in what you have shared with me.
By any chance would there be other pictures of Tommie? I am going to contact my cousin either later today or tonight and fill her in on what I know. I will provide her a link to his memorial on Find a Grave so that she can read what is there and also see the picture.
Thank you so much for getting back to me. Staci

Thomas Archie Turner
Hello Mr. Jones,
I hate to bother you but I will write to you one more time. I feel that this Thomas Archie Turner that you are in control of his memorial is the one that I'm looking for.
I don't know if you have been busy or if perhaps I caused some panic when I told you why I'm looking for him. I apologize if I've caused any discomfort.
I plan on going ahead and informing my cousin about this and that I do feel there is a very good chance this is her father. What a wonderful thing if it was her father, so that his children could go about and make the proper arrangements to have him a proper military headstone/marker.
Thank you for taking good care of his memorial and hopefully before long if my hunch proves correct, he will have a proper marker. Staci Pollard

RE: Thomas Archie Turner
I have a bit more information about the Thomas Archie Turner I'm looking for. I know that his parents were at one point living in Jacksonville Arkansas. My Aunt also told me that he was overseas during the Vietnam period but she doesn't know if he was in Vietnam. She said she remembers that while he was there, he was walking home one night with another man and they were hit by a car. She said he was hurt very bad. She seems to think the force was so bad that he was thrown into a tree. She also said that he was sent home and she thought was in the hospital in Arkansas. My Aunt said that as a result of this accident, one of his legs was shorter than the other or something like that. This is my younger Aunt so she is going on what her memory of this is. I really appreciate you taking the time for this and I know it means the world to my cousin. Thank you again, Staci

RE: Thomas Archie Turner
Thank you for your reply. I'm trying to get more information at this end also. The Archie Turner I'm looking for was married to my Aunt around 1965-1966. They divorced several years later. My Aunt didn't allow their children to have contact with him or his parents. She did allow the grandparents to come to one of the kids high school graduation and that was the end of it. I will try and get more information from my cousin today. I had a question mark by whether Thomas had a sister or not so maybe that will help narrow down. Of course now my cousin would like to know what happened to her dad and so I told her that I would do what I could.

Thomas Archie Turner
I realized after I sent the earlier message that I should have included some additional information.

The man I'm trying to find out about was in the Air Force. I know he lived in or near Amarillo around 1965-1966. I also know that he was born in Arkansas.

Thank you, Staci

I'm looking for some information on a Thomas Archie Turner. Are you by any chance related to him or know someone that is? I would appreciate it if you would get back in touch with me. This has to do with my own personal family tree. Thank you, Staci Pollard.

Request for grave stone for Loren Radke
Sorry, hitting wrong keys. I fulfilled this request last week with his marker. I thought the request looked familiar. In checking the memorial, I find my photo is not there and a 'In Memoriam for a Robert Goble is there. The photo was there when I placed it. I believe this problem might be a result of the Ancestry site and Find A Grave also being down last week. I will put the marker back out there and notify the owner of the memorial what I think happened. She can delete the other photo.

I also put the Alice Radke grave photo in Section Q and it is not there. Sorry it does not look as good as her spouse but the grounds keeper have not been able to keep up with the grass growth. We are not allowed to disturb the grave site in any way so the section and site is hard to see. If you enlarge the photo, you should be able to see it.

Hope this corrects the problem for you but I am thinking there are a lot more problems because of the web site being down
