Just want to verify your Edit suggestion. The other five children of Catherine Panchot 89286062 have the Panchot family name. Thank you.

Mt. Pleasant Cemetery is very difficult to deal with. Their staff is not very friendly or helpful. I know many of their records were destroyed by fire many years ago which accounts for their lack of accurate record keeping. They also implemented a policy of charging a fee of $10 for every name lookup, which causes many people not to use their service. The bottom line is that their customer service basically sucks!

Washington state has an online library service, where you can send an obituary request to a librarian. It is called "Ask a Librarian" It is free to the public. It usually takes several weeks to get a reply because of the popularity of the service and the high volume of requests. If your relative had an obituary, the article might provide you with burial information. You might also want to try the online Washington State Digital Archives. It is another free service, which maintains public documents and records. Outside of those two options I really don't know what to suggest. My wife has an account with ancestry. I will look and see if I can any information on Peter. If I find anything I will let you know.

As far as I know all the cemetery listings are up to date. Have you tried Lake View Cemetery? It is one of the oldest Seattle cemeteries, and contains many of Seattle's founding pioneers.

I just checked through the electronic data base for Ft. Lawton Cemetery. There is no listing for Peter Panchot there. I will try and get to the GAR Cemetery in the coming days.

I will be glad to check Ft. Lawton for you. He might be buried at the GAR cemetery on Seattle's Capitol Hill next to Lake View Cemetery. The weather is turning bad for the next few days, so I will try to locate him early next week.

Thanks for the followup. I'll keep the headstone date for now, but will add a note about conflicting dates; if someone comes through later with a death, marriage cert etc. that's more specific, that may help.

Before I put through your request, I want to confirm that she was really married and preganant at 16?

Sorry no James or Oliver, none of the DOB orDOD match... The closest to is a Lonnie 1893-1913 Son of Cora.. Which is not a match.. If he is there, he has no visible stone..........

George F. Panchot
It's possible GFP is buried at Lakeside in Hastings. Maybe his parents were living there at the time of his death? If you want to contact the cemetery the number is 651-437-6656. Also, here's a webpage with some info about the cemetery:
http://www.debbiesgenealogy.com/T115N-R17W,21%20-%20Lakeside%20Cemetery.htm
The cemetery is about 50 miles from my house so I don't anticipate going there any time soon. Sorry! Maybe you can do a photo request.
Good luck!
Lynn

Monica, I'm planning to do some more research on George at the Anoka History Center today. He has me intrigued. If I come up with any new information I'll let you know.

George F. Panchot
Hi Monica. There is no record of George F. Panchot (d1862) in the Oakwood Cemetery "Burial Records for 1855-1884 and 1888-1950" book. The only military headstone is for the senior Panchot. Have you checked any lists of Minnesota soldiers interred in the Antietam Nat'l Cemetery?

Panchot, Rachel and George
Hello Monica,
I visited Oakwood Cemetery today and located Rachel's grave. Unfortunately there is no visible marker for her. According to Anoka Co. records, she is buried in the HARE family plot. I'll add a photo so you can see the location of her grave. As for George, there is already a military headstone photo posted for him but this is confusing. In the cemetery records, it states he died at the age of 84 in 1899. Perhaps the other Memorial page with the photo is an error?

Photo Request for Evergreen Cem
I am trying to fulfill your request and the other over 200 requests for Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, KY. The problem is I am only allowed to take in three names a days to find out their locations. I am asking people to please call them and find out what section the headstones are in and then please let me know. This way I can find them and get them to you faster. I appreciate your help

I looked around for it when I took the photo of W B's gravemarker and didn't see it. I'll check again the next time in the area.

RE: Abner Loomis
As I noted in my earlier communication, Chloe Barber Loomis' headstone is flanked by her husband Abner (1809)(Find A Grave Memorial# 49145020) and daughter Chloe (1816)(Find A Grave Memorial# 73118038). If you go to these memorials you will see the photos of those headstones. As to the Abner you requested Abner (1776) Find A Grave Memorial #73142172, no headstone exists, nor has there been record of one since at least before the Hale transcriptions in 1934. I am sorry if I cannot be more clear, and I hope this answers your query.
Regards,
Terry Goodwin
