Knowles/ELmwood
Mr. Knowles is buried in the Confederate's Rest area, Plat # 202. He has no regular marker and even the concrete marker with the #202 ID is missing. I've added a photo of the spot where he should be.

Cheryl:

Thanks so much for the info. on the Ratliffs and Noles/Knowles you provided. I read your e-mail on the 27th. I am a member of the TN Gen. Soc. We have a very active Club with nationally known speakers scheduled annually. You may well have attended one of them in Germantown/Memphis. I will visit the library and probably will be able to find out who manages the family sites and their research and sources. I went by Tues., the 26th but needed more info. Since it has been a year since I was there and am kind of rusty with the new computer programs. I'm driving again. I followed the Allen's back to Woodruff, SC in 1750s. It's interesting to note my brother, Chuck lives in that area. I will let you know if I find out about anything noteworthy. Thanks again and GBY. jim

Cheryl:
Thanks very much for the info. on Ratliffs/Knowles. The Lee Co. Miss. Census Fed. shows her living with her stepmother and born in ILL. An Uncle mentioned Rebecca/Becky birth name was Smith(Probably wrong). I've visited her grave site at Osborn Crk. Cem. in Prentiss Co. MS. Of course, you probably know that. Her marriage to James Buckner Allen included seven living kids. I think I have linked all of them but not her parents. Her last grandson died in AR in Sept 2014. I have been almost a year sick and a long time in hospital. Please forgive my memory lapse. I get tired very easy. Doing much better. Thanks again for your info. I looked again and again for it but of no avail. I'm proud of all your research. jim neeley

RE: Ault Photos, Chattanooga Memorial
I looked at those stones when I downloaded the others and they are, perhaps, in the family. At this time, I don't know.

I'll do some checking and will ask for a transferif they are.

Again, many thanks,
Leaton
