Bryan Anderson
George P. Hanna
Dear thorsley,

I am researching my paternal grandfather, Gunder Anderson, and his army unit from WWI, Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. According to the National Directory of the 355th Infantry, George P. Hanna of Wood Lake, Nebraska was a member of this unit.

I'm not certain where I'm going with my project, but I want to eventually publish something. So, with your permission, I would like to use your photograph of the gravestone for George P. Hanna (Find A Grave Memorial# 70326766). Please let me know whether this is acceptable.

Thank you for your consideration.

With kind regards,

Bryan Anderson

RE: Pat Cuny
I am so sorry! I just saw your message! I got the information from my husband, Owen Cuny. His brother Vernon, is also presumed buried in Cuny Family Cemetery, and could possibly be in error?

Stella (Hougham) Andrews-73082087
Yvonne, is it possible that David Henry Hougham is buried in Gordon Cemetery? Stella is his daughter; wife Ida May (Patterson) Hougham-141667435. There are three other children also buried there. He died July 5, 1954, Gordon, Nebraska. I would like to set him up on Find A Grave and then I would have the whole family accounted for.
Thanks for any help you may have.

Surnames: Riddle/Hartgraves/Chance

Please feel free to email me directly. I am a descendent of Joseph Riddle. His son, Charles W. Riddle, was my great grandmother's father. Her name was Beckie Riddle Chance (Mary Rebecca actually). Joseph Riddle moved to Missouri and that is where Charles met his bride and their family was born with the exception of the last child who was born in KS. I look forward to keeping in touch with you and learning what each other knows.

Do you think the LDS family history library has info?

RE: ??John Roman Hartgraves PARENTS
I have seen Nancy Fair previously. I don't remember where I saw her name though. This marriage is definitely another marriage for John Roman Hartgraves. He seems to be an interesting guy. 3 marriages to sisters? Some of His wives must have died giving birth? I was searching the Dumont newspapers earlier today. He shows up in them quite frequently as do other Hartgraves.. The message board does list some of the articles I saw today.
I have been adding their names and sources that I find to I have seen that Nancy Poindexter linked to William Hartgraves on most family trees on I think people just link her because another person linked her and on and on.. I am not thinking she is correct though.. I have really been reading through that ancestry message board and it is really detailed and fact/source based. Looks like she went to a library or someplace to get her info...

RE: ??John Roman Hartgraves PARENTS

RE: Hartgraves
Hi Yvonne, How are you doing? Sina is the sister of my ggg-grandmother, Almeda Angeline. You and I have corresponded previously about this family. I tried to find info on the LDS website about your gg-grandmother but I don't think I was able to find to much. You sent me one of your beautiful books and some cards that were really neat. Thank you again..
I will keep trying to find info on your gg-grandmother.. There has to be somebody out there whos related somehow..

Nancy Jane Dennis
Yes, I agree with you that Patrick Connor was twice married and I never said he was not. It should be obvious by the 1845 martiage to Nancy Jane that he already had chuldren.

So why did the person owning the memorial refuse to link him with his sevod wife Nancy Jane? I do notice from messages left for her she seems to be a confrontational person.

BTW I grew up in the coal fields of Perry County, went to school with the Doughterys, and am related to the Connors through the McCloys. I've also researched Perry, Morgan, Hocking, Ateens, Fairfield, Jackson, Gallia counties for more than 20 years and I a
most always, as in this case, back up my linking with documentation.

Thomas Lookabill Photo
Thanks for posting the photo of Thomas C Lookabill--photos are one of the things I value most! My third great grandfather, Jacob Lookabill's son, Christopher Columbus, married Mary Anne Kayton, who I assume is one of your ancestors? I descend from Jacob's son (& Christopher's brother), Samuel C, to his son, Samuel Shelton, to my grandmother Pearl.

I'm originally from Colorado (although my Lookabill descendents went from Iowa to Randolph, Nebraska to Wood, South Dakota). I currently live outside Richmond, Virginia.

I would certainly be interested in any pictures of the Lookabills you would like to share. My email is

My apologies--I just saw your post today asking for one of the photos to be removed from Thomas Lookabill's memorial #25147430. I removed my photo so you can post the one you have of him from 1882. I would like to ask permission now, to copy this photo to my family tree on

Thank you for your consideration of my request.
