Catharina Stoltenberg
Is it possible that your Catharina Stoltenberg
that you have a photo request for, is the same
person as Dorothea Stoltengerg #41405375 ?
The listing has them both dying in 1918 at the same age, and buried in the same lot 72-N. I searched for a Catharina in that lot, there is only a stone for Dorthea. I got my info from

RE: Donald Mehler

I should be in town during that time in September that you will be here so I think it will work out to have meet at HCC and show you his gravesite.

If you want to post your email address I will respond to that with my email and phone # so that we can coordinate in that way.

Thank you

I understand the situation you are in and am pleased to hear that you will be in the area. If time permits when you are in town, I would be happy to meet you at the cemetery and show you where Donald is buried. It is an old cemetery and grave locations are sometimes difficult to find. Once you have a better understanding as to your schedule and availability please feel free to contact me via Find a Grave messaging and we can visit about it.

If you would like to purchase one of the temporary grave markers and mail it to me I would be happy to put it on Donalds grave. I feel sad for him somehow so if I can help in any way please let me know. I will send you my address if you want to proceed.

Doris - I cannot find any Stoltenbergs under my management, though I do see there are several resting in IL & IA.

Doris - "Claimed" on this website means that the volunteer will attempt to find the marker and take a picture. I have been searching the section where Irene is supposed to be located but have had no luck so far...I will try one more time. Thanks~TC

You are so very welcome. It took me awhile to learn how to upload the pics but hopefully it has 'stuck' now.

RE: Robert and Waldine Mehler HS
You're very welcome. I'm glad I was able to help. I don't remember if I sent you an earlier message, but the memorials for Robert & Waldine are misplaced. Long Island National is in Farmingdale (Suffolk). The cemetery where they are listed Long Island National, Farmingdale (Nassau) doesn't exist. (Farmingdale does straddle the two counties, but the part with the cemetery is in Suffolk. The "Nassau" version of the cemetery is an error that pops up from time to time.) You may want to change the burial info so they appear in the "right" Long Island National.
Have a good one...Glenn

Doris, sorry I uploaded a photo for the wrong Bertha Brugmann and then deleted it. Please resubmit the photo request and I will go back out and photo the correct Bertha Brugmann marker.

RE: an Update...
Hi Doris,

I have good news. I went back to my pictures and looked befoe and after the Dauble pictures. I found, in the background, the gravestones of Julia and William Ludwig. William died in 1967. They are in Section F, but I'm not sure the exact location. They are right behind the Dauble stones. Because it is a background picture I'm not sure of the quality, but I'll add them anyway and you can let me know if they are good enough.

Hi, I noticed that you have photo requests for these two people at Find a Grave and they are listed under City Cemetery. I actually took these pictures and they are listed under Davenport City Cemetery. Just to let you know. Thanks, Debbie Kleinendorst

RE: Just wondering.
Hi Doris,

Since Julia died in 1943 and, maybe William also died around then it's possible I didn't take pictures. I was focusing on older graves when I was going through Waldheim-- graves of folks who died mostly before 1930. If you are able to get the location from the cemetery office I'll try to find them and take a picture.

RE: Just wondering.
Hi Doris,

I've been taking a lot of pictures and transcribing at Forest Home and already had the pictures that you requested. Unfortunately I don't have the Ludwigs. Do you know where they are buried? I have been working at Forest Home this summer (when the weather permits) and if I come across them, I'll take a picture. Hopefully, though someone will respond to your photo request before long.
