Hi Cindy... I am not directly related to George so I have to decline. His father was a brother of my ggg gf. I only followed that line down a couple of generations. Marysue

|Bryan Anderson||Albert W. Jens|
I am researching my paternal grandfather's WWI army unit, Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. According to the website:
Albert W. Jens was also a member of this unit, at least at one time.
I'm not exactly sure where I'm going with my project, but want to eventually publish something. Would it be permissible to use your photograph of the grave of Albert W. Jens (Find A Grave Memorial# 86525485) should I eventually publish something?
With warm regards,

|Marysue ||George Wesley McNutt|
I know how we all strive for accurate information. The added information for the day date of death of George Wesley McNutt is incorrect. See below the article for his death.
Daily Nonpareil newspaper, Council Bluffs Iowa, dated 22 May 1938, Sunday, pg 28. (Genealogybank.com) Former Resident Dies. Mrs W H Chaffin received word Friday of the death of her brother, Wesley McNutt, at Omaha, Neb. at the home of his son, Ray McNutt. Mr McNutt was a former resident of Yorktown vicinity.
This would equal 20 May 1938.
Thanks for your time. Marysue

Hi there - This memorial No. 132406771, has 3 copies of the same plot photo posted. I've done the very same thing myself before, too!
Could you please delete 2 copies of it? It would help keep the data storage clean and leave more room for photos for other folks to be posted.
Thanx very much for your help!

Concerning the memorial for Leander G. Adams. I am wondering if you could remove the "Father" stone picture? Then the cemetery picture will reappear, since a family member has added his photo.
Thanks very much, famfindr

Hi, no I didn't have it removed.
I just wanted to let you know Find A Grave policy about it.
Truly the best thing to do is not touch a stone at all, but I also have a hard time with wanting to preserve the grave vs having an unknown person. I feel bad if I can't help and figure out who the person is.
But you just have to be careful because someone might take offense because it's really against fags policy and they can have those photos removed and admins can contact you about it.
Don't stress over the ones already done.
Have a great day!!

Hi, Thank you for adding the photo for her memorial. But, I caution you about adding "Chalked Stones" on Findagrave
Some people will contact admins to have them (chalked stone photos) removed and could get you in trouble with admins by doing that to the stones.
I'm not going to report anything I just wanted to alert you to this in case it happens you will know why.
Have a great night! Thanks again for adding the photo to my ancestor
This is what is listed in the faq's about chalking stones:
Reporting chalking: Photos of chalked, floured, shaving creamed, wire brushed, or otherwise altered headstones are strictly not allowed and are subject to removal when reported and/or when spotted by an administrator.
If the chalked photos appear on memorials that YOU have created and maintain, then you can ask to have them removed if you object to them, at which time they will be deleted. In such a case, report the photos to firstname.lastname@example.org. Use the same email address to report members who are continually posting chalked headstone photos. [Top]

Thank you so much for the photo of my great grand uncle's grave (and his wife's). I am documenting the brothers and sisters of my paternal great grandfather, and your photo has verified their relationship. Most of the brothers and sisters are near Marshalltown, and it would be interesting to determine how John wound up 200 miles from the rest. Again, I am grateful to you.

Yes, I am interested in all of them. I know that Albert Edgar and Elsie Johnson are my uncle and aunt. And that William and Minnie Johnson are my grandparents. JJ and Nancy Johnson are my great grandparents. I would particularly try to find Johnson relatives that are not in my direct line.
Thank you, Janice
