Good Morning,
I tried to go to Vesta in your listings of memorials, but she is not coming up.
If you go to her memorial, if I remember correctly, there are two A S Tucks, one is her hubby the other is not... I believe I posted a clipping on the Augustus Stimpson Tuck, who is in my line, so please click around to see what it there ;)
Blessings to You & Yours,
L

Ansel Annable
Good morning,

I just found your photo of Anselʻs gravestone... thank you for posting it. He is my 6th great uncle. May I use the photo on my private family tree? I always give credit to the find a grave members who share their photos with me.

Regarding his unknown birthdate... I have found several...29 January 1737/8... 38 is from Genealogical Notes of Cape cod Families, compiled by Brownson, Held & Norton, Duxbury, MA, 1966 & Connecticut Town Birth Records, pre-1870 (Barbour Collection). 27 April 1736 found in Town of Barnstable, MA Vital Records. Either of these dates would put him in the over 100 age range for his age at death which, I suppose, is not impossible. But his memorial page states his age as AE 68 yers... was this on the stone? That would put his year of birth as about 1777 but I have marriage records for him that he married Betsy/Betty Tinker on 5 December 1764. Grateful for any light you can shed on this... thanks again...

Regards,
Lynda Puakea

This is the info from the cemetery records.
Since they were buried together I "assumed" they were husband and wife. There is only 1 Solomon listed, but 2 different stones, there must have been 2. The 1862 is on the stone.

As you can see it says they were both born in 1830, and yet it also says Solomon is Elizabeth's son????

I will make 2 Solomon Jordon memorials for now.

RE: George Skillings
You are welcome. Is there a specific person or persons you are looking for? If there had been anymore Skillings around his headstone, I would have taken their photos as well. I am in the process of taking pictures of all headstones as well as adding everyone who is buried in that cemetery. If there is someone specific, I can certainly check the next time I go. I also have a list at my home.

RE: West New Portland
Hi,

I know it's been months, but I just wanted to tell you I have been able to find little information, especially about Sarah E. Hoyt, like you asked.

I know that John Hoyt was indeed born in N.H., but I did find something kind of interesting: John was one of triplets. He, his brother Moses and his sister Dorothy were all born March 12, 1786.

Mary Hoyt's maiden name was Bradbury, born in 1795 in N.H., probably in the month of December according to her grave. It says she was 88 years and 10 months old.

I found a bigger list of children for John & Mary Hoyt...

* Louisa, b. 1816.
* Mary, b. 1818.
* Clarissa, b. 1820; d. 1896.
* Dorothy, b. 1823.
* Abigail L., b. 1825.
* George W., b. 1829.
* Sarah E. (Or B. It said Sarah B. on Ancestry.com.) b. 1831.
* Winthrop Bradbury, b. 1833.
* Hiram D., b. 1838.

That would make Sarah the youngest of 6 daughters, if that is a complete list. It said she was 50 years old when she died. And her gravestone epitaph says: "We'll meet in heaven."

What exactly do you want to find out about her?

When I did the research on the Oakland people 40+ years ago, I didn't document well (I've learned my lesson about that), so unfortunately, I have no idea where the info came from. It might be on her gravestone, it may have been in a family genealogy, I just don't recall.

Sorry.

Hi Merrylyn,
Happy to do it on a bonus day in fall. You mentioned "Esther" and her maiden name. Which Esther. Most of these are not my memorials in this cemetery, so I might not be able to change it.
