I also added a photo of the headstone side with her husband's information. Many of the headstones out at the cemetery are very hard to read due to age, striations in the marble and etchings in the white marble with no letter darkening. Such is the headstone side with Gilberto Flores's info. Click on his photo to enlarge a couple times and it is easy to read.

Isodoro and Guillermo Najera
I'm currently working on you photo requests.

Sadly, no records are available for Catholic burial before 1912 so it's highly unlikely that Isodoro's location can be found.

I did locate Guillermo's burial record and have updated the memorial. My first attempt at locating his grave was not successful as I believe it is no longer marked. I should be able to locate the exact burial site after researching a few "reference graves". Reference graves will confirm that I am at the correct tier and grave.

RE: Danielle Rodelo #161643574
Hello. Unfortunately, no, I do not know who little Danielle's parents were. I found her birth record that says her mother's maiden name is Garcia, but that is all I was able to locate. She is buried next to Samuel and Juana Pena. We wondered if they could be grandparents or great-grandparents, since we thought her parents might have wanted her to be with family, but I just have no way of knowing. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help.

Can you call the cemetery 408-258-2940 Calvary Catholic Cemetery and see if they will give you the section, row and plot. If you can get the information and update the photo request by Friday, I'll see if I can locate Saturday while I'm at the cemetery.

Best Regards
John D Crow

I'm not sure if I already replied.

But, for this cemetery it is feasible for a burial to occur in the same burial plot.
There used to be multiple burials in a grave.
There was 5 to 7 yr waiting period, but then another family member could be buried. When they dug the hole, they would dig down, find the bones. They used wooden caskets, so casket, flesh would have rotted away leaving only the bones. These were collected and put in one corner of the hole and a new casket put in.
The cemetery is supposed to be closed to new burials but a select few are allowed along with cremains.

Lynott Chubbuck Sr & Jr - Forest Hill Cemetery
Correction needed: I found Lynott B Chubbuck, Sr. in Plot 13, lot 69 of Forest Hill Cemetery today. An earlier search I did of the records showed only Lynott Chubbuck in Plot 40 with no dates of birth or death on the stone.

I looked again through the records of Forest Hill Cemetery (Utica, NY) and here are the correct burial sites.

Lynott B Chubbuck, Sr. 1855-1984 Find A Grave # 147952304, is buried in Plot 13, lot 69. On the grave, his name is spelled "Leynott"

Lynott B Chubbuck, Jr., Find A Grave# 147952392, is buried in Plot 40; lot 2374.

Can you please make the corrections on their respective Find A Grave sites.

Best regards,

Charles & wife Sarah do not have stones. If you click on the photo on Sarah's memorial, the one that shows the plot behind the large stone, the caption will explain that they are buried between her parents and her sister & her husband.

RE: Arranagas from Del Rio
Yes, Ina and Manuel were my husband's Aunt and Uncle. Manuel's father was also Manuel Arranaga. In the picture Manuel is the second from the left and his father is the 4th from the left holding one of his grandchildren. My husband's father is the 3rd one from the left. Unfortunately all of that generation has passed. Manuel Arraņaga and Victoria Guerra had three sons (Luis, Manuel, & Carlos) and one daughter - Irma. This store was on south main street @ Pafford. Until recently it was Laing's Furniture (across from United Medical Center. Manuel and Ina moved to San Jose, California with their 7 children.
Please don't think me rude, but there was a little age gap between Manuel and Carlos. My husband and I are 51, may I ask your age? Maybe we went to school together.

Perhaps he was moved to a different cemetery. That location was used in 2011 when many of the burials in that section were in 1993 which makes me think he was moved. I am sorry I am unable to help you.

You requested his photo. The cemetery has no record of him, sorry I am unable to help you. That location is SP5 John J Reynolds 1947-2011.

RE: # 15628972 Andres L. Courvier, Jr.
Either that, or my full name, Hallie Garrison. Either one will be sufficient.

There is another member of this site who is researching Aldrete. I believe the name on this site is Aldrete Family. Maybe you have corresponded with them, or maybe not. Might prove to be interesting!!

Good luck in your research!

You do have my permission to use the photo as long as you give me the credit if it is to be viewed publically.

The Aldrete surname has come up lately in my transcribing of early Wilson County marriages. If you need me to look something (or someone) up in the early marriages, let me know. We have on a spread sheet marriages from about 1886 to or through the 1950's. Someone else transcribed them and I am proofreading before we take it to be published. This project is being done by the Wilson County Historical Society through volunteers such as myself at the Wilson County Public Libraries. We are working on transcribing the cemeteries as well, but have put that on the back burner to get the marriages done first.
