Thanks for the transfers. I've been looking for these graves for about 24 years. I went to Chorlotte yesterday and was able to see them in person. I appreciate your efforts to post it to FindAGrave.

Thanks for adding the photo. I had no idea that upon his death he was moved back to Charlotte, NC. By 1930 it seems the family was somewhat fractured and he was a bit of an outsider.

Thanks for the photo of her marker at Elmwood. I did some further digging and see that she is on FindaGrave twice. One page has the correct information (110026789) w/the exception of not being connected to her parents. I sent that information to the maintainer.

Nice memorial you have now! I was lucky on Claudia. Front page article + big obit in today's paper, but yesterday there was a mini obit saying a full one coming. Neither listed place of burial, but coincidentally, just the day before, I had linked a Belk to his parents at Elmwood and noticed Mayor John Belk was at Elmwood. So the next day when I saw Claudia's little death notice, I knew exactly where she would be laid to rest!

|BarbZ||Thank You for the McKane Family Plot Photo in Elmwood|
Hi JJH - Thank you so much for taking the photo of the McKane family plot in Elmwood where my great Aunt Mary (Brennan) McKane was buried in 1915.
I currently reside in Massachusetts but thanks to all you wonderful local photographers in Charlotte, I have been able to see the family gravestone closeups individually as I document the family graves. Your photo was so appreciated. It was the first time I saw that family plot in its entirety and I truly felt as if I was there in person and making a visit to the grave of the North Carolina relatives.
Thanks for the information about Mary's grave not being marked. I have added that to her memorial. This has been a cause of some confusion for me!
At the time of Mary's death, it was published that she would be buried next to her husband Paul in the McKane family plot in Elmwood. The info you obtained from the Elmwood cemetery office seems to back that up.
Husband Paul's memorial information was engraved on the side of teen daughter Mamie's monument. Her momument is the big one with the cross on top that is visible in your new photo. RIP, she is the one who died a tragic and horrific death by fire while working ...
So I was thinking the mother's name would have also been added there.
PS: One can see the stone for the two of three of Paul and Mary's children that died in childhood in your shot. It is the one diagonal right and back from Mamie's monument). The family plot photo you took would be a nice addition to these memorials too. (Ok for multiple postings for related family members in findagrave?)
