RE: Vieth memorials in Iowa
Yes, please transfer the Vieths to me. I think it's no use at all to look at my collection of Dutch surnames for your "Dutch DNA ancestors": there are more than 100,000 Dutch surnames ... So, please send me the results of your DNA-test via p.hakze@upcmail.nl and I will see to it.

Mercer Tombstone Pictures
Thank you so much for the photos of the Jesse T Mercer plot at Hillside Cemetery by Elliott, Iowa.
The photo came when I was extremely busy and I didn't deal with them until today, 3 months later.

I appreciate your time and effort in getting these pictures.

Thomas & Bressie
The gravestone photos of Elizabeth Thomas and Katherine Bressie are very much appreciated. Your generosity, time and effort has been a blessing to our family. I am at a loss for words as to how to say thank you. Two simple words don't seem enough for some one who has given us so much. God bless you, Janice, and may all the good you do come back to you.

Gratefully yours
the Abbott Family

Sherry
Do you live near Red Oak or Montgomery County?

Been trying to locate living relatives of William Jones and Dan Jones Jr who were married to Williams sisters Elizabeth and Mary Ann Williams, daughters of William and Elizabeth Rosser and sisters to Thomas Williams.

If i had your email I could provide you some info.
Thanks!

Tasto Photo Request
Thank you so much for the photos of these tombstones. They are distant relatives but the pictures complete my history of that particular branch and will be important to cousins to see as no chance of visiting that area. So nice of you to go to this trouble. We appreciate it. Best wishes for a nice spring Find A Grave season.

The photo is one of a tablet memorizing those MIA. Thus not very clear.
Am happy to do this little favor for you.

George Parker (b. 1812)
I am researching the Parker family. Still figuring out Find-a-Grave. When I see a bio or dates or family members not noted on the actual gravestone, what is the source of that information? For example, how do we know that THIS George Parker was born in Barrowby, England?

Thanx for your clarification!
Chris

Amy Axtell Matthew
Thomas Axtell
In Mariah Axtell Hosick's FINDAGRAVE it states that someone has the bible that belonged to Thomas Axtell, her father. Is this you?

Thomas Axtell is my 3rd Great Grandfather and his son and Mariah's brother, Thomas Chalmer Axtell, is my 2nd Great Grandfather. I have tried to find additional information on him.

We visited the Rural Dale Cemetery and took a picture of his first wife, Martha Williams Axtell, grave; but, could not locate one for Thomas Chalmers Axtell. I wonder if he was buried with Martha.

Thanks for any information you can give me.
Amy

Jacqueline Kerr
Relative of Carrie Hayward
Hi Sherry- thanks for all your work on the Hayward family. My grandmother Dorothy Smith was adopted from the New York Foundling Hospital in 1895 at the age of 2. Her birthdate was 9/25/1893)and her parents were Carrie Hayward and James Smith. Carrie was born in 1873 and I am pretty sure is the same Carrie who later became Carrie Bridges. I don't know the circumstances of her birth but we have a copy of her birth certificate and it lists Carrie's age as 20 and the father's age as 30. Would love to connect with you! Jackie Kerr

RE: Sarah Jane Baker
I am related to the Baker's, know nothing about Sarah Ryan's family. I do have a lot of information on my Baker Families. Sarah's father James Baker was my 3rd Great Grandfather's brother. My family was Larkin Baker, and their parents were Baxter Baker and Sarah Hill. They moved to Illinois from Tennessee.
If you want anymore information email me at donnasutliff@hotmail.com. Do you have anymore information on Sarah Baker Ryan?

Baxter P. Baker and Rosannah were the youngest of seven children born to Mary Prater Baker West (Joseph West was her husband). They, however, were infants when their father died so their mother left them with the Carter-Glendenning family to raise. Imagine she just didn't have the resources to tend to the younger children without a husband in the 1840s. James Baker Father of seven children died abt. 1845, in Gentry, Missouri.

You have done a fine job with the memorials, but if I think there is something more I can add I will either let you know or let you transfer them to me. I may have photos of the Kilgore grandparents and if so, I can post them anyway. Thank you so much!

Always glad to help! That cemetery is right down the street from my dad's house; I photographed all the visible stones - there may be others buried there, though.
