Henderson graves in Parkers Prairie
I saw your question to T. Burt about the Henderson graves in Parkers Prairie cemetery.

Here is the obituary for the Mary Luella Hazen Henderson, who I think is called Ellen in the newspaper article about her death.

Find A Grave Memorial# 73030717

It refers to her daughter Della, burned to death, who I think is the Amina Adella Henderson - who must have died as a teen?

Find A Grave Memorial# 73030738

Alexandria Post News,
Alexandria, Douglas County, Minnesota
Thursday, September 17, 1896, page 5, col. 3.

PARKERS PRAIRIE.

Mrs. Ellen Henderson, wife of Mr. J. Henderson, passed away very suddenly the 7th inst., leaving a babe a few hours old. Her health has been very poor since her daughter, Della, was burned to death last October, which left her broken hearted. The funeral services took place in the M. E. church, the Rev. M. D. Reeves officiating.

We will miss you, sister Ellen, from our circle here below,
But if faithful, we shall meet you where we sorrow ne’er shall know;
While we wait and watch together, loved ones left so far behind,
We’ll remember kindness shown us, while our tears and trials were thine.
You have gone to meet your mother and dear Della to embrace,
And will walk in white together and behold your Savior’s face.
Out beyond the swelling river, in that land of endless day,
We shall know each other better when the mists have passed away.

PENELOPE.

The cemetery is well-cared for, so that would be unusual. The markers around it are all in great condition. Another possibility is that because these markers are on a slope, it might be possible that if this marker sunk a bit that it could become grown over. You might check with the office about that possibility, because it really does seem as if you can see the outline of where a marker was or should be. Maybe they can probe if the marker is sunk 2 or 3 inches.

RE: Rant
And if all cemeteries/memorial gardens would strive for 100% disclosure, some of the missing relatives we are looking for would be found. I don't see how it's any skin off of their nose if a volunteer wants to spend their own time reconciling the difference between what we have recorded, and what they have recorded. It's a public venue, supposedly public record. I actually figured it would take approximately 200 hours to reconcile the difference. That would be five weeks of 8 hour days I was willing to donate just to get ONE memorial gardens up to par.

You're welcome. I get to Lucknow infrequently as my mother is still there (99). I started at the back and am going down the north side with the next batch perhaps later this week so it will depend on where you relatives are buried.

You're welcome, Mike. I just uploaded one to Vernon's as well. I was having trouble with the app in the cemetery, as it kept telling me that the photo did not upload, and then I got duplicates. I was happy with the shot I got, so there we go.

I do not see any indication that Vernon has passed on? Neither date portion of the stone has been engraved as of this afternoon.

Happy I could help! :)

RE: Henderson's
I wish I could be of help but I am not from this area and have never been to this cemetery. I've taken over many of the former contributor's memorials as she is now deceased.

RE: Dewitt Chapman
Thanks Mike. I didn't realize I had put Dewitt on twice. I did delete the one site with lesser information. Are you in charge of that cemetery? Dian

Dewitt Clinton Chapman
Mike,

I was able to fulfill your photo request today for this man, however, when doing so, I learned that there were two photo requests and 3 memorial pages.

They have varying amounts of information on them.

Please work with the memorial managers to get Private Chapman's papers in order, or let FindAGrave sort it out. I put the photo on all three memorials because I'm not in a position to take part in these decisions.

Thanks, and have a great weekend! :)

RE: Jean Morgan
Mike,

Thank you! I believe I have all the information on the memorial now including her married name and maiden name. Appreciate your input and, of course, the information!

Best wishes,

Hi Mike,

Since Andrew Lamont is her husband (according to your link), do you think I should change her last name to Lamont on the memorial? I would say yes.

Regards,
High Plains :)

RE: Ann Henderson
Hi Mike

Thanks so much for bringing this to my attention! I agree, they could not be John's children. I have removed all connections between the children and John and removed the photograph of the three graves together. Please let me know if you find any other errors and I will be more than happy to correct them. Sometimes I get so involved and toodle along creating memorials that I over-look the obvious (ie: father has died before the children's birth dates)
Regards,
Patricia

Mary Stavely
Mike,
Along with the photos for Mary Stavely I have also added photos for Baby Stavely. Given the location of the two headstones is appears as this was Mary's child.
As you can see the headstone for Mary is virtually impossible to read. I had to get right up to the headstone, move my head a little bit and trace the letters in order to confirm that this is in fact her burial spot.
I, of course, hope you enjoy all of the pictures. Thank you very much for your request.

Regards
DDM

Donna will have to transfer hers to me because she is using the middle name for a first name but she probably doesn't want to do that. Some people like a lot of numbers

The Binkleys in Brookside
I'm sorry to tell you that Roselyn, Vera and A. Binkley do not have headstones on their graves. The plot markers are really good in that section of the cemetery and I took a photo of their plot/ area where they are buried. This is the best I can do.

I am so sorry. I was calling Hereford cemeteries and had Vega on my mind. I finally got a chance to look at my papers. Please disregard my note. I finally got a chance to drive to Vega today. Thankfully the cemetery has a map displayed with names. I was able to locate the headstone and will post it this evening.

RE: Russell Dilly
I must admit I did not actually take this photo. The Fair Oaks Cemetary is in the process of posting a photo for each grave. I went to take the photo and found that they had already posted this one.
I thought it was a good photo so I added it to Mr. Dilly's memorial page.

RE: Donald McTaggart
DonZas was the original creator of his memorial page. He is now deceased and I manage his memorials. You must have requested a photo; the volunteer went to the plot location as stated on his memorial, and there was another name listed in that location. There are two US websites that list the burials of military. One doesn't list him but the other one does show his burial at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with the same plot location as listed. I also take photos at this cemetery and will go by the office and look for him the next time I'm out there,
Thank you,
