|Henry Goodwin||RE: Goodwin Cemetery photo requests|
20 of the 24 people listed are buried in my family cemetery. To go to it you take the Bibb Store Road (628) out of Louisa for approximately 4 miles. Turn left onto Panamint Woods Road. Turn right on Panmint Farms Road. Turn left onto Panamint Trail. The cemetery will be on the right side of this gravel road. The cemetery is enclosed with an old rock wall. There are twenty graves with each one having a headstone. The two George Goodwin's, Polly P. Goodwin and Dr. Garland J. White are not part of this Goodwin family. Also they are buried somewhere else. Let me know if you have any questions! Henry B Goodwin Jr.

Thank you for finally answering correspondence: I know how busy you have been.
I am somewhat familiar with Find A Grave having been a member six years and creating hundreds of memorials. I rather guessed that you did not create the memorial for my ancestor: my cousin created that lovely memorial.
We were requesting that you remove a document that you posted. You do agree, do you not, that you posted the list? Your name was under the picture just as mine is under the picture of the cross that I added in order to "bury" the inaccurate list. That is a security measure that Find A Grave uses: no one can post a picture unless he / she has logged in under the name on record. I would not have known your identification otherwise. If you did not add the list, you should consider contacting Find A Grave posthaste and advise that someone is posting information under your ID.
You have resolved the issue and have removed the document: you had to have done that as well. You are the only person who can remove a picture / document that you posted. Had we been able to do so, one of us would have removed the list long ago, just as I would remove pictures that are anathema to my senses from the memorials I created. The resolution was our only request.
I have read some of the memorials you have created and they are quite lovely. It would be so nice had you the time to create more.
I still wonder whether you are connected to the Watson family since you added to several memorials. As I offered before, should you have a tie to the Watson family, I will share any information that I have.
Again, thank you for your cooperation -

Whereas we appreciate pictures and postings that add information, we do take umbrage with those that do not. We do not want to do injustice to our ancestors by presenting incorrect material to their memorials. The list of marriages you have posted to this memorial has absolutely NOTHING to do with this memorial. Please remove the INACCURATE information posthaste: we do not want misinformation to be perpetuated.
Thank you for your cooperation.

I was invited to the farm it is on some years ago by Mrs. Houchens. She has since died so I a not sure who the owner is now. The farm is 671 Patrick Henry Pl.
I hope this helps.

Heather, I noticed you recently left a tribute on the memorial for James Samuel Moore. Would you happen to have any portraits of him that we could add to his memorial?

I've hit the limit for photo requests for the weak, so next week I will request some for you. I don't know if you are one of the volunteers who only takes pictures that have been requested or not. Okay if you are, I know many people apparently do. Personally I'd like as many pictures to be taken from all of the memorials as possible. I would, but I am not currently able to do it. Yesterday I requested a bunch of photos from a cemetery with a very confusing name. It said 8 volunteers live within 10 miles of it. I figure that at least one of those 8 will either be able to figure it out, or know if anything is wrong.

Hi! I see you have a photo request for Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland Maryland. I'm taking a trip there soon and I'm planning on trying to fulfill as many requests as I can. Since this cemetery is so large (about 80,000 graves) it would help to have the section and plots of the burials. I have spoken to Carmelita Walker from CHC. She said she can't give locations of these sites to me since I'm not related but she said if you call her at 301-568-5400 & tell her that you're a relative (or think you may be!) she can give it to you. She said there's no charge for this information. If you could get the info soon (by 9/6) that would be great! If you are no longer interested in fulfilling the request for whatever reason, just let me know too so I can cross it off my list. Thanks!

|David Condit||Poorhouse Cemetery=Fauquier County|
I checked this cemetery last August and talked to the owner of the property. As far as he knows or remembers from his childhood there were never any headstones with names on them, just field stones.
The cemetery is inclosed with a stone wall but inside there are trees down and growing. All I saw as I walked through were about 10 field stones still upright. The owner thought there was originally 50-70 field stones but as I noted above, no headstones/tombstones.
Bottom line I don't think you'll get a tombstone picture from the Poorhouse cemetery.
