Really: Peter Town foot stone
Hi - you are correct that the marker is a foot stone and not an infants marker. I removed my memorial to the infant. I assumed since infant and mother died a day apart the they would be together. Ernie

RE: Please add photo
Good point - I "assumed" the smaller headstone was an infant. Unfortunately with the same initials. My search also had a different death date for the infants mother. I have Lydia dying on Jan 10th, and the baby dying on Jan 9th. I will research my 5th great grandfather more and remove baby Peter. Thanks for all your research! Ernie

Hi - I created a new burial entry for Peter Town (131709595) who died an infant. You had the photo included with parent Peter Town (67207177). Thank you! Ernie

Let me know if you want to create the burial and I'll delete mine.

John Laycock
Thanks Time Traveler:

That is the photo of my great grandfather's younger brother's gravestone. John's infant son was William H. Laycock & he was only a year old when he died. His name is only one of several names engraved on that large stone.

I was also hoping to find the gravestone of John Laycock's father, William Laycock, born about 1802 & died 1887 in North Reading, MA. I thought he was buried in the same North Andover cemetery. Maybe not.

Thank you again for the photo.

So sorry you have had trouble locating John Laycock his families gravestone. I have been in that cemetery & seen the stone & can tell you it is fairly large. On it is written names of John, his wife, his children & his parents-in-law. The site has a cement/concrete border surrounding it.

I am in no hurry for a photo on Find a Grave, so it's fine with me to wait until a fine Spring day to check again.

Thanks a lot.

West Parish Garden Cemetery, Andover, Mass.
Hi Kevin,

Just wanted to give you a heads up that there will be a Free cemetery tour Saturday at West Parish Cemetery here in Andover on June 4th at 10:00am rain or shine. It is not the tour that I conduct. The cemetery historian leads the tour and you can see info about it if you go to the cemetery website.

Take care,
John G.

Sorry Kevin, what I meant to say is that I am in Andover, but the tour is to the east in Wenham.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for making the updates.
If I do the gravestone tour this year it will be in late August. I will let you know if I do it. It's not far from here (Andover), just a few towns to the east.

Be safe,

Harrison E. Brown tombstone picture
Thank you very much for the picture of Harrison and Gladys Brown's tombstone. Looks like the snow is melting out there. I see you have memorials for the Abbott family. Harrison Brown's great grandmother was Eliza August Abbott b. 1834, whose father was Noah Abbott b. 1810. Are your Abbott's related to this line? This is my husband's line. Thanks again.
