James Phillip Miles
Dear Treasure
I need a little help.
Your memorial says James died in May, 1970.
The obit/bio she died Aug. 29, 1970. It also
says he was an infant, therefor, no SSDI info.
It would be very helpful if you asked WA Memorial Park for the date of burial. If it was back in May, the stone is correct. If it was in Sept. of 1970,the obit/bio is correct.
Thank you,

RE: Bradley David Holmes
Thank you for your reply. I too am having problems dealing with the unanswered requests for entering bios or transfers on so many unfinished memorials. There are so many of them in the Buckley Cemetery and I am at least trying to get headstone pictures for all of them. You did a good job of connecting all of Cheryl's family. Can I inquire why the grave is unmarked? I believe Cheryl was in my sister's class at White River. Thank you for your time. Robin

Your memorial #110992916 seems to be a duplicate of #16859910 created on 11/30/2006. Edits may be sent for birthdate and name. Please advise how you want this handled - I'll help if I can.

Tracy Ice
Sunnyslope Cemetery
Sunnyslope has the worst property management team there and must hate Genealogy, because like the person trying to fulfill your picture request said, "Manager of cemetery states for privacy of family they refuse to allow persons to photograph the headstones even when requested on the Find A Grave site. Requires proof of family relationship be faxed to office then they will allow the family member to come and take photo. Refuses to tell me where anyone is buried specifically."

But the Corona genealogy society did a walk and had documented, photographed and made a book of results.
Here is the link to the page on that page is a link to request pictures.

RE: Compton
I am glad to have the answers to my Great Aunt Lottie's son''s family. There is a cousin that I'm trying to contact in California that would have information on the Comptons as her dad was Aunt Lottie's brother. Her name is Ann Huss and she lives in San Diego, Ca.
As for Wayne's mother side, she was German and I have her ancestors back to Pennsylvania. She was the youngest of her mother's children, and my grandma' sister. Her mother died when Lottie was young, I think maybe of TB. I have not heard how Lottie met James Compton, or where they married. I think maybe Oklahoma, but not sure. I will be going to Oklahoma soon to visit my sisters and will visit my 90 year old Uncle that lived in California when he was younger and spent a lot of time with Lottie and Jim Compton. My uncle can't
hear on the phone so I have to talk to him in person.
Do you know why or have you ever heard why Wayne's grandparents never knew what happened to him? That's a mystery to me! Seems like the awful disease of TB must have played a great role in this.
Howard was a artist and liked to paint. My uncle has one of his pictures hanging in his house.

Best Regards, Sherry Jones

Been going over my genealogy today of Aunt Lottie Grube Comptom. My uncle told me that Howard had a son, but the mother took the son and left when young and my great aunt Lottie never knew what happened to him.

Now, that's one side of the story. I find that in the 1940 census that Merna Compton was a patient in the County Tuberculosis Sanatarium and her son was living with a couple whom I don't know in 1940 census. Of course, Aunt Lottie (Wayne's grandmother) was taking care of her daughter, Grace, who died of TB in 1942. I would think that the grandparents would have tried to find Wayne, as he would have been their only heir. James Compton was successful in his field of work. I believe they gave my uncle their house before they died. I had tried several times to find who the son was. So thankful you emailed me. One brick wall torn down. I guess Merna was successful in her fight with TB.

I have a picture of Howard standing by his car when he was grown that I can get to you. Very nice looking!
Please let me know what you know abt this family.

RE: Compton Family
Are you talking abt Howard Randolph Compton that died of TB? His father being James Pearl Compton that died in El Cajon, Ca on Nov. 29, 1974? My uncle has a picture Howard painted. Is Wayne Howard's son? I am a great niece, but my 90 year old uncle would know abt them as he was in California in the earlier years of their lives. James's wife is my grandmother's sister. I am very interested in knowing abt what you know about your fiancÚ ancestors. Howard may have married, but my uncle said Howard's sister took care of him while he was sick before he died. His sister was Grace Pearl Grube and died later on of TB, too is what I was told. I have pictures of Howard. Let me know if this is his family and i'll see what else I have. Always good to find family.
Kind Regards,
Sherry Jones

John Bellew
Why don't you ask Barbara McKinney to transfer management to you for John Bellew since you are a direct descendant of John Bellew.(4th great grandfather)
I gave her the biographical information on him and then put in William Nelson Bellew who was a son of John Bellew and Cincinnati Bellew. She wouldn't transfer to me because I am not in direct lineage but she should with you. I am very distant line of William Nelson Bellew's wife Mary Allen Munson whose father William Munson Jr. was brother of my 3rd great grandfather.
