Linda Coe
Hiler Cemetery, New Hartford, Minnesota
Hello, It looks like you have taken several photos of the Hiler Cemetery in New Hartford, Minnesota - thank you! I have questions about where the Cemetery is located and where and with whom (within the cemetery) Sarah Massey Dodge (FG# 50714123) is buried. I would like to visit her grave this summer. Sarah is my 4x-great-grandmother who immigrated to Minnesota with several of the families of her children from Ontario, Canada and St. Lawrence County, New York. If you are willing, please write me via my email address which is on my FG contributor page. Linda in Colorado

Hi Yvonne,

That is so good to know you had a personal connection to her. The Umbergers were my great-great-great grandma's stepsiblings. Her dad James Marshall's 2nd wife was the widowed Jane Robinson Umberger who already had several children and James had 3. While doing the Marshall research I of course got all entwined in the Umbergers. So I am sharing that information since I have it.

many thanks!

RE: Rally Haas
Yvonne, I really appreciate your help and extra digging. That's strange there's no individual marker for him, but I'm sure there's a reason for that. He was my great-grandma's second husband, and actually no relation to me. But I didn't know that when I was a kid, and I wouldn't have cared. He was so nice and sweet that when I was little, I called his wife, my great-grandma, "The Rally Grandma". Lots of people ended up calling her that. :)

RE: Re: Kersey family
Hi Yvonne. Thanks for replying about the Kersey's. My journey on genealogy has been quite an experience. I began back in 1999 on my Mom's side. Switching to Dad's the past 5 years. No one knew about his side, not even him. With very little to go on, I found my great great grandparents that came from Norway and all those descendants. It was so rewarding! So, I have been so busy with that, that I haven't done much contributing on Find A Grave until now. To answer your questions, the photo of the stone came to me from the great grandson of Anna's second husband back in 2011. I will have to add this 2nd husband yet.So, I don't know when you took the picture, but the stone was just cleaner/newer back in 2011. If you want to leave the one with the name most present, I suppose you could or I could just enlarge their name from the cleaner stone. Whatever you think would look best.
Thanks for all you do. I admire the grave walkers and their dedication! I have just been sticking with my relatives and that sure keeps me busy enough!

Re: Kersey family
Hi Yvonne. May I ask something of you? Would you be willing to remove the cemetery photos on the following graves: 1. Anna Kersey 91333171 2. Albert Kersey 91333135 3. Fred Kersey 91333959 4. Clara 91333272 and 5. 91333367? Anna is my great grandfather's sister. I have posted a new photo. It seems a little too much to have all of them on there. I will be adding other things as well.
Please know that myself and many others are very grateful for what you do! Thank you so much!! Vicky King # 47638342

Thanks. You always know what to say. I need to get back into the site again. Life is slowing down again. It has been hetic since June but rewarding too. Divorce is never easy even when necessary. My 23rd old nephew died two weeks ago also. So much at one time. Next time I will respond faster!

RE: Unknown cemetery
I hope you found your answer before now. I have been so busy with my divorce and moving I haven't had a chance to check findagrave. Just create the memorial and under cemetery just do a recent death. Update it once you get more info.

I am so sorry I did not answer you sooner.

Hi: Thank you for writing back. Yes, you can transfer Mildred Mendell to me. Could also transfer her husband to me, too?

Thank you!

Thank you SO much for taking the pictures of the Yerly's markers. I know that it's not easy to get photos there. May I use the photos on my Ancestry tree? Again, thank you!
