I am a distant cousin of Woodrow Hale Mason. I was wondering how you came across his portrait/photo. Are you a close relative of his, by any chance? Feel free to e-mail me directly at tbean1[at]gmail.com.

Thanks so much for all your efforts! It is greatly appreciated. I didn't know about the duplicates...oops!

Today I photographed the Livengood's family plot but checked before I created memorials and that's how I saw all the duplications which is against the Find A Grave rules & they will merge the newer memorial with the original to avoid confusion. I didn't add my headstones pics since they already had headstone pics. On other peoples memorials you can click on their Edits tab & select the option/s needed to add more info or correct info if you didn't know about that feature. I thought maybe you didn't check or know about the Edits tab feature & accidently duplicated.

I'm not a direct descendant, but my family has intermarried with most of the Amish/Mennonite/Church of the Brethren families in Fayette, and Somerset, PA. I've just been following the line from the original Liebengut's and digging around. I only see records of an Emma Livengood with Silas, but private family histories say he was married to Rebecca Walker. Emma doesn't seem to be a diminutive of Rebecca. Also, 1900 census shows Silas and Emma but says she is the mother of only 1 child, which again, conflicts with information that they had 3 children, Clarence, Harriet and Florence. I haven't found the family together in a census yet (showing parents with children).

You posted a picture of an obituary, but the bottom is cut off. Could you please send me the full obituary if you still have it? Thanks.

|Cynthia Barnett Kline||William H. Lingenfelter|
I spent the afternoon at Moore Cemetery with no luck locating a marker for William H. Lingenfelter. We then stopped at Barton Chapel again with not luck. In talking with the grounds keeper, we found out that there are graves there that have disappeared over time in a section they are no longer using for burials. And you were initially correct that WILLIAM HERBERT LINGENFELTER is probable in Barton Chapel according to Dively family history.

|Cynthia Barnett Kline||William Lingenfelter|
an obituary would be great. I have a 1900 census showing William H. Lingenfelter as Head of household with wife Bessie, and my grandmother (Isabel Flossie) at 3 years old. Above his name is Nathan Lingenfelter (W) residing in his daughter-in-law Jennie's house. Oliver, Jefferson County.
I have not physically been to Barton Chapel Cemetery. Could he be there and not listed on Find A Grave? Also do you have any documentation for the death date for him?
So many questions ... so few answers,

|Cynthia Barnett Kline||RE: LINGENFELTER|
Here is the info for Isabel Flossie Lingenfelter:
B: 11 April 1898, D: 20 April 1963. Her mother was Bessie Ida O'Donnell B: 30 March 1872, D: 27 December 1951. She lived for a while with my grandmother, my aunts, and mother.
After around 1900, I find very little about W. Lingenfelter. No DC, or burial info.
First Marriage: Mathew Andrew Kendall
Children include: Mary Ellen Kendall Ellis, Martha Kendall Leonard, and (my mother) Virginia Isabel Kendall Barnett
Second Marriage: William Dale Bailey
No Children from this marriage
I too initially thought William Lingenfelter was in Barton Chapel - but only find Nathaniel there.

|Cynthia Barnett Kline||LINGENFELTER|
I am looking for information about the William H. Lingenfelter that married Bessie Ida O'Donnell.
There were my maternal grandmother's (Isabel Flossie Lingenfelter Kendall Bailey) parents.
Bessie Ida Lingenfelter is buried in Emmerickville but William (1866 - 1900/1910?) is not listed there.
He seems to be Nathaniel Lingenfelter's and Barbara Dively's son - but again, I can not find out for sure.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

|IJBall||RE: Daniel M. Ball first wife|
Thank you for the information you provided on Sarah Imhoff: I have added all the appropriate information to her (and Daniel's) memorial(s). Unfortunately, I can't be of any more help on this family - I literally found their names in a cemetery listing online one time, and decided that I'd make sure their names were added to Find-a-Grave! But everything I know about them comes strictly from records searches - I don't believe that I am in any way related to this Ball family, so my knowledge of them is strictly limited. Sorry I can't be of more help!

I think I got the updates done correctly. I've been documenting. Glenhaven cemetery site by site. If her husband is in the cemetery I should come across him eventually and add him to the database. When/if I do and have forgotten to add him as her spouse please remind me. Glenhaven is only about 1/4 documented so hopefully I'll find him and link them. Again if I forget please send a reminder. It's a beautiful cemetary but very remote. I think that's why it's been so poorly documented

Thank you for your suggestions. I added Walter's middle name and linked him to his parents.

|Richard Blower||RE: Martin Diveley|
Dear Michael....was very pleased to receive your message about Martin. It is my understanding that Martin had a sister, named Barbara. Barbara married Jacob Bley(Bly).....I am their 4th great Grandson (maternal). I confess that I have been slow at researching this line in any depth. I found several sources with a large block of names and added the information to my tree. I initially was interested in the grandparents so focused on them to start. Then I decided to take a break and just let things sit and percolate. A cousin from another line just sent me a dozen pictures from the late 1800s of other family members so my to do list is growing again and my interest is being rekindled. I have prepared an Outline Descendant Report of my 6th Great Grandfather, Rudolph Jacob Dively and would be more than happy to send a copy to you, it is 69 pages long.
You may email me at firstname.lastname@example.org

|Ann Koch||Catherine Cantonwine|
Hello, Michael, I was delighted to get your message as I've not had any relative from the Alexander Cantonwine line contact me. I was particularly happy to finally have a surname for Mary. Have you seen Alexander's findagrave listing and biography
and if so, does it ring relatively true?
When you said "Mary's mom said that 6 of her 6 children still survived in the 1900 census" - I assume you're talking about Mary's Mom's children, not Mary's . . . right? Do you know what Mary's mom's given name was (or Mary's father's name (or any of Mary's siblings's names) so I can search the census records. Did Mary marry again?
I'd like to stay in touch with you so I can do a better job of fleshing out Alexander's family. And can we do it thru email? That's easier for me.
I look forward to hearing from you again, Michael

I looked at the memorial and right above the name of Bernice was the name of the contributor who gave me that info. I have nothing else. Perhaps you could contact them about this matter. Somewhere on your contributor page is a means to look up users and make contact with them. Hope this helps. Fred
