It looks like a group photo. Who else is in the photo. I would like to have a copy. Tell me how that can happen. If there is a cost, no problem.

|Southern Man||Grimwood in Canterbury|
You have incorrectly added Arthur Grimwood #170391686 and Elizabeth Mary Grimwood #170391763 to the Canterbury Provincial Memorial. They are actually buried in the Ellesmere Public Cemetery (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=2331203).
You can get the details from http://rates.selwyn.govt.nz/cemeteries/plot_records/search

|Lydia Lundberg Kelly||Goddard/Lundberg Families|
Hi Scott! This is your distant cousin Lydia
Lundberg Kelly. I want to thank you and tell you
how much all time and effort you have put into
documenting the Goddard and Lundberg families is greatly appreciated by me. It is so important to
have knowledge of those that came before us so that we can pass along this important family history to our children and grandchildren. I have
amassed a huge folder for our son so that he will
know his family roots to pass down to his children
one day. By the way, I can't tell if Goddards look like Lundbergs or the other way around! Congratulations on your adorable
grandson! Hope all is well with your family.
All the Best,

|Jennifer Stansfield||George Newhart and Louisa Walvert|
I received your e-mail asking if there is a grave set up for George Newhart and his wife Louisa Walvert. I have not been able to find a location of where these two may be buried. I did find that according to The History of Wayne, Pike and Monroe Counties, PA that Louisa's last name was not Walvert but Woolbert. Her Father was John Woolbert and her Mother was Mary Weisner. After George's passing I find that Louisa married a George Werkheiser and they lived in Jackson, Monroe Co., PA.

Thank you, Scott, for sharing your information.
It's been so great to connect with distant relatives and to hear their stories. So many of our ancestors fought in the Civil War (and American Revolution) - one of my 2nd great grandfathers (from Georgia) died shortly after the battle of Cold Harbor - of infection from after amputation of his leg - and then I had other ancestors from the East that fought for the Union...life was/is complicated!
Best to you and yours, your distant cousin, Kathy

|Pam Hall||Jefferson Duncan - Eutopia Cemetery|
Good Morning. I just posted a photo of Jefferson Dunkin's headstone. Please note that the last name is spelled DUNKIN on the headstone & his dob is listed on the stone as 12/16/1859 vs 12/6/1859. As you know, it isn't uncommon for surnames to be spelled differently from generation to generation.
If you feel that this is not the same person, let me know & I will be happy to remove the photo from the memorial.
If you feel it is the right person, you may want to suggest a correction to the person who maintains the memorial.
P.S. The "white stuff" on the stone is shaving cream -- it really helps "pop out" the inscription & the best part is that it dissolves on it's own (or you can spritz it with water) & doesn't damage the stone.

|Lori Humble||Almira Nolan Newhart|
Almira is not listed on the cemetery website. I have searched under her married, maiden name, used partial spellings of both names, and her first name only. I also looked around her daughters grave, but could not find her.
You may want to contact Melissa at the cemetery office. Her number is: 813-274-8711 or select "Contact Us" on the main cemetery page to send her an email. I have found her to be very prompt and helpful. The website search is: http://www.tampagov.net/parks_search_webapp/DeceasedList.aspx
Please let me know if she is able to provide further information. I will be glad to go back out for you.
Have a good day!

|Sheila Johnson||Jefferson Duncan|
I looked all over for Jefferson Duncan this morning and did not see him. I found several "Dunkin"s, none were Jefferson, and I did find a small handful of "Duncan"s but none were Jefferson. The Duncans had a "Charley" and two other small flat, looked like homemade, stones. I think one reads "Mary E. Duncan" and the other just says Duncan. These proceed to some rocks, placed as headstones with no discernible markings. I took pictures of these and can send if you know that they are some of your kin. If I don't hear from you, I'll assume its not your family and you aren't interested. I did not report a problem or anything because i did not want to dissuade anyone else from going to look.

Ha been doing this for about 10 years now. I love family history! Great to see others interested too. And thanks for sharing the better photo! All I had before that was a newspaper version. Also, I did locate Catherine (Thompson) Stuart's grave on here as well (#17968360). And also noticed today on Ancestry that someone has posted photos of her son Oliver Milton Stuart and his family if you are interested!
Added by jessicado on Mar 31, 2012 3:48 PM
Hi Scott, switched his name! I thought it was Stuart, but after the headstone said Stewart (as well as his son's) I wasn't sure. I am actually not related on the Stuart side myself, but on the Thompson side. I think our trees on Ancestry are connected? I am Jessicado22 on there. :)Jessica
