Hello Bill - I visited Red Hill Cemetery 11/8/2015. I found a headstone for a Lottie V. (1889 - 1948) and John H. (1883 - 1966). Is this the headstone you requested?
Kind regards,
Susan G. Thompson

Howard grave
Hello Bill, I'm just about to download a photo of the Howard grave. It was just a lovely location and very picturesque. If you need more locality photos contact me.
As I am the cemetery historian [self appointed!] I would love to hear some anecdotes or biographical information to add to my database. I noticed Beryl was now with Keith.

I honestly don't remember where I found this information. More then likely it was from transcribed records. I will be happy to transfer him to you. Just let me know.

Mary Gaitley at Holy Cross
Hi Peter,

Mary Gaitley was originally interred at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in San Francisco. The cemetery was closed and the remains were moved to Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma, CA. The remains were buried in one section, and while there are no individual grave markers. There is a memorial is dedicated to them all. I attached the photo of the location. And the caption for the photo has the inscription on the memorial.

RE: Kathleen Brown Boone Photo Request
My mistake and my apologies. It appears it is just a coincidence that Amelia Kathleen Brown Boone was born on 6-6-1916 and your Kathleen Brown Boone died on the same date. I went to the Pine Hill Cemetery yesterday and did find that Adolphus G and N. Margaret Stafford were buried side by side in the same plot with Kathleen Brown and Robert E. Best of luck in your search.

Kathleen Brown Boone Photo Request
Hi Bill:
I saw your photo request for Kathleen Brown Boone death June 6, 1916, Memorial #17904830, created by Becky Dean (email disabled).
Could the Memorial #75698325 for Amelia Kathleen Brown Boone BORN June 6, 1916 be the memorial with photos you are looking for? She was the wife of Robert Edward Boone Sr (1904-2003).
If you think Memorial #75698325 is the memorial you need, could you remove the photo request for Memorial #17904830? I think perhaps Memorial #17904830 was created in error but the email for the creator has been disabled and therefore cannot be contacted. I plan to contact findagrave to address this.
Thank you.

Royston's at Cherokee Community Cemetery
I was at Cherokee Community Cemetery looking for Deaderick ancestors. I noticed your request for a picture for Cyrus Royston's headstone and I was able to find it. Next to him where the following: Katherine Royston Dykes 11-5-1905 to 4-11-70. on the same headstone below her name it says Daughter Elizabeth Blanche Royston 11-9-1902 to 10-1-1985.
Near that is a child's headstone: Cyrus Augustus son of CA & MT Royston died Oct 6,1891 2 years and ? Months and 5 days. Next to that is another child's headstone: Mary Lee daughter of CA & MT Royston died Aug 8,1898 age 3 years and 23 days.i have pictures of these as well if you would like them. There is also a Addie E Royston listed on the website for the cemetery and under the name it says (Deaderick) . I did not see that grave. Do you know how if she was a Deaderick who married a Royston?

Joseph & Jemia Peterkin - Fernwood
Hi Bill - I received a copy of the burial record for the Peterkins and now know they are in section 50. I will try and locate a stone on a future visit. In the meantime, would you like a copy of the handwritten burial ledger? It lists the following people in the plot (most with ages at time of death and burial date):

Charles Peterkin
Emily Hynds
Jemima Peterkin
Joseph Peterkin
Robert Hynds
Loretta Peterkin

Freeland Family Cemetery
Hi Bill,

I'm sorry to bring bad news, but this cemetery has a nasty ground cover of poison oak/ivy and and other thick vines, and the stones are in poor condition as best as I can tell.

Would you be ok with a photo of the cemetery as a whole?

RE: Freeland Family Cemetery
Hi Bill,
Found the cemetery yesterday evening but it was too dark to go into. Also, I will have to get the permission of the owners of the home in front of it. That part should not be a problem, but sadly, this cemetery looks almost impenetrable. It has an old wrought gate around it, and it seems to be completely overgrown. I can see the tops of the stones from the roadway.

I will go over this weekend, when the homeowners are there and get a closer look. Hopefully it's not as bad as it appears from the road and I can get a photo. At the very least, I can photograph the cemetery site so you will have that.

I will keep you posted.

Carolyn Giallonardo
Unionville Cemetery
Bill, I took several photos of the Peirson, Hufford & Worth plots that were situated near each other. There was a stone for the Peirson sons, who are still living, I assume, which could be true for Elinore G. Peirson, Paul V.'s wife as there was no date of death noted on the headstone.

I was going to fulfill your photo request for the cemetery, however there is no address and no map. I looked in the NC Cemetery Census and it is not listed, likely since it was a family site.

Do you have any records about the street location. I will be happy to photograph the site if I can find it.

Thank you!
