Carl and Albertina Wolff #103632229, #103632300
Hello, The Wolff tombstone is very difficult to read. The Wolff name on the bottom of the tombstone is visible along with the 1940 death date. Cemetery staff did verify that this is the correct tombstone for the Wolff's. I live one mile from this cemetery and will get back when the weather warms up and then I will see if we can clean this stone. This tombstone is in a very shady section of the cemetery which might be contributing to the difficult reading of this tombstone. Thanks, Cindy

Arthur Loeck
I went to Evergreen yesterday and spotted a head stone for Arthur Leck. There is a Margaret Leck buried at Evergreen too.

Are you sure about the cemetery? I, too, do not see the name, Loeck, entered into the records ... sorry.

Mount Olive Photo Request
Hi. I will be going to Mount Olive cemetery over the next 3 or 4 weeks (weather permitting) to take photos of my relatives grave sites and I saw you had a request(s). If you would call the cemetery office (number on the front page of the cemetery page) and get the location of the burial, I will try to get the photo request for you while I am there. Just add it to your memorial in the plot section. They are very helpful at the office. Kathy

Cook family cemetery
Besides the CASTLEBERRY's buried at Cook cemetery and then their granddaughter Susan Carol and her son buried out there. what are the names of the older ones buried there--any COOK's buried out there? I'm not related to the Cook's....I'm related to the Castleberry's thru Isaac Lafayette whom married Arbazena ottalee TURNEY.

You're welcome. I'm sorry the photos weren't better. If you want to try putting the requests up again in the spring, we can probably get a little better result.

RE: Edward and Helen Wene
Edward Lawrence Wene is my birth grandfather. He married first my birth grandmother, Willie Frances Buckley. Thier son, Edward Buckley Brown, is my birth father. You can go to their memorials from Edward Wene's memorial. Second, Edward Lawrence married Helen and had three daughters. Two are still living. Isabelle died recently, and her memorial # is 46350605. I will send your e-mail address to the youngest daughter, Georgia, and hopefully she will contact you. I am sure that she has photos of Helen. I have been to Riverside Cemetery, and it is in a lovely place.

Castleberry Cemetery, Crofton, KY
I wanted to let you know that I attempted to locate your ancestor at the Castleberry Cemetery on Empire Road in Crofton, KY. According to my father the cemetery was not well kept for many years and some of the markers are worn down or, I believe, missing. We were not able to locate William Castleberry (1755-1836). However, the church may have records of all interments and the pastor Dwight Brown may be of some assistance.

Good luck in your search.

RE: John Robert Castleberry
Kevin, you have researched further into the many national cemeteries in that area than I have. I am transfering management of John Robert's memorial to you and Fairview sounds like a more likely one than Mill Springs from what you are saying.

Kevin, the articles just say national cemetery at Bowling Green, Ky. so will leave it where it is unless we know for sure which one. If you find out which one, let me know and I will change the memorial.

RE: John Robert Castleberry
John Robert was buried in the National Cemetery at Bowling Green, Ky. This information came from three sources - Cal Castleberry, a descendant of this familly reported it on Gen Forum; a good account of this family in the "Castleberry and Allied Families, Vol. II, page 189-190 and the other source is "The Gamp Tree", Jan.Feb.Mar.issue 1977, page 420-431 published by the late Fred Eugene Castleberry.

RE: Possible Transfer
I will transfer Castleberry's as they are your great grandparents. Please be aware that I am maintaining the Drewry line for my sister and her husband who are also descendants of the Drewry line, possibly the same as you . . . and they still carry the Drewry name through Herman Lorenzo, Lillie's brother. I will be happy to add additional information to any other memorial or add links that I have not yet uncovered. Please consider creating a virtual cemetery for your Drewry family. It is very easy and will give you easy access to your entire line(s) without searching through multiple records.
