Sarah Jane Landers Memorial# 159885566
Can you please tell me where you got the information Sarah and Adelbert Landers are buried here? I checked with the West Monroe, New York Clerk and she could not find any burial information for either being buried in this cemetery.
Thank you

RE: Catharine Edick
Sure you can do anything you wish, I'm part of the Mexico Historical Society, still hit an occasional meeting. I live in Baldwinsville. I knew David Maybee and his wife were early settlers of Parish and with John Miller had a lot to do with breaking off with the Presbyterian Church in Mexico to bring it to Parish. John Miller is now buried with his wife Margaret Maybee Miller (David's daughter) in Manlius/Chittenango.

RE: Catharine Edick
Catharine was the daughter of David and Gertraut Maybee. Some sources have said she was married to a Marcus Edick, but her dates line up with the one married to Joseph Edick. There was also a Alice Maybee who married William Edick who are also buried there. She is also buried close to her sister Caroline Maybee Brockway. David and his wife are a mystery. The old family bible that was last seen in possession of an Edick said he was buried in Red Mill Cemetery which nobody has knowledge of. It could be Bidwell because years before there was an 81, Red Mill rd continues and goes to the Bidwell Cemetery and 2 more of their daughters are there...Elizabeth Maybee Coan and Nancy Maybee House. He was a Revolutionary soldier.

RE: Thank You
Thank you for the info. I would like to know how to reach the association because I am searching for a few people who died in Parish and nobody ever knew where they are buried. I have walked the cemetery one time and found a few unknown ones, but still a few missing.

Thanks again

Jeff

Dear Kimby P.
I am very grateful to you for posting the pictures of the Drapers. I was hoping someone would post a picture sometime. Bertha was my grandmothers sister and quite a gal! Everybody in the family loved her very much.

RE: Cottet's
Okay, cool! I presume you're referring to Martin Frank Cottet (1866-1943, #159950933), and not his father Martin (1822-1892, #159951206). The elder Martin had a brother Xavier "Jacob" Cottet, who is my 3x great-grandfather. Genealogical research IS addicting, haha!

RE: Cottet's
May I ask who your grandmother (Cottet) was? Our ancestors are probably the same Cottet family.

Eunice's sister Nabby is buried in the Willowbrook Cemetery, in Sudbury, Rutland County, Vermont.

I don't have information for any of her siblings.

Did you want me to send PDFs of the family information?

Bill Barker
Merritt Burgess Jr
Hi, I just left an edit to change his mother to Maryett Shaw Burgess. I have proof that this is true. His Social Security application lists her as his mother. His father Merritt Sr was married twice first to Catherine Cronan then to Maryett. As can be seen in the 1892 Census Merritt Sr and Jr were living with Maryett Shaw Bisbo and her two children. Each separately from their previous spouses. Maryett did in fact marry Merritt Sr. in 1893 in Connecticut but by then Merritt Jr was 8 years old. Oh what a tangled web we weave. Anyway I would appreciate it if you would accept my update. It settles a long family rumor (lore).
Thanks, Bill

E.F. at Happy Valley
Kim, I just ran across a photo I took last summer at Happy Valley cemetery. It's a footstone with the initials E. F. The nearest stone is that of Sam & Lana Davey, my GGGParents. I wonder if I could email it to you and you would have a look at it, since you are a resident expert on this cemetery. My email is NYladuke@charter.net. Thx, Sharon

Happy Valley photos
Kim, thank you for working on these Happy Valley photos. I know there is no extant gravestone for some of the burials here, but I think it's so important to get pictures of those that do still exist. I appreciate the entire Findagrave community and its historic work.

RE: Lloyd and Marilda (Davis) Gracey gravestone photos.
I forgot to add that in the obituary of the brother of Lloyd Gracey in my family it states Lloyd died in 1981 - it could be a typo or the Lloyd Gracey in Oswego, NY is not related.

Lloyd and Marilda (Davis) Gracey gravestone photos.
Thank you for taking the photograph of the gravestone. I was able to find Marilda's obituary at http://www.fultonhistory.com/ but I was not able to find one for Lloyd Gracey (memorial # 144871576). Would you happen to know where I could find his obituary online?
