Setbacken family
Hi Roberta,
Just happened on your profile and noticed that the Setbackens are part of your family. Jens and Elizabeth are my Great Great Grandparents. Karen was my Great Grandmother and Mathilda Rosendahl Torgrud was my Grandmother. It's always fun to find new family. My husband and I traveled thru Lake Preston last spring looking for graves for my family and really enjoyed our visit. How are related to the Setbacken?

I keep hoping to find some of the Torgrud family in SD so I can find out more about my Great Grandfather Henry P Torgrud. I don't have any idea who is parents are. He is buried out at North Preston Lutheran Cemetery. He is Karen's husband.

Keep up the good work on Find A Grave, I just became a photo volunteer this past fall and have really been enjoying it.

Searching More DeBoor
I am searching the line of DeBoor. Theodore "Marty" DeBoor is my ex father-in-law. He is the biological father of Jason Robert DeBoor. We are curious as to what the line is as in aunts, uncles, grandparents. Theodore was married to Pamela Wilson and divorced soon after in 1991 or '92 and remarried to another woman named Terri DeBoor. We do not know much of this side of the family as Theodore was not very much involved. Any information would be greatly appricated. Only legit family member we know for sure of a relationship is Francis Scott DeBoor and was known to the children as "Granny Franny". Theodore fathered 2 other children besides Jason; Martin Daniel DeBoor and Paul Ryan DeBoor. Maritn DeBoor is currently married and has a daughter. I am trying to give you as much information as we know about the DeBoor line. Thank you very much for everything and anything you can do for finding linage. Any other website is bits and pieces. Your link has giving us the most accurate we believe information about the history of DeBoor. Thank you again.

RE: Thomas Longboat
The death certificate says he is buried in Caledonia, Ontario. No cemetery listed but I can do more research. If you would like a copy of the certificate I can send it to you if you have e-mail.

RE: William Digerness
Oh! Got it...

I can send you a copy of the genealogy page from my book that contains William Digerness and Clara Anderson.

It does not list Anna Lovos as the book is from Clara's side of the family and does not go into other spouses of spouses...if that makes sense. It would list if Clara had remarried, but not the other way around.

Let me know, and I would be happy to send it to you.

RE: William Digerness
Are you related to the Digerness?

Added by cm on Aug 23, 2013 12:33 AM

RE: William Digerness
I noticed that also on William Digerness' obit. No mention of his first wife.

She took ill and her parents moved to Poulsbo to be near Clara's family.

Clara and William married 4 Nov 1909 in Hamar, ND. She died 1920 at Poulsbo, WA.

William and Anna were married 23 Nov 1921 at Poulsbo, Kitsap, Washington. He is listed as a widower.

This is the link to the marriage cert for William and Anna.

Stanley Ness headstone Montana
Son to Olga Weise

I had to go into the county records and found that Stanley Ness did died in Flathead County.
Not sure of what city.
The records show that he was cremated and that there never was a burial recorded in this county.

Sorry, but someone in his family may know where his remains are.

Elizabeth (Rush) Scott

On your entry for Elizabeth Harriett (Rush) Scott you list her burial location as unknown. I have found her in the Honey Creek United Methodist Cemetery in Johnson County, Indiana, where her husband James Scott and his second wife, Amanda (Toland) Scott are also buried.
I also have her father as William Rush (c. 1803-1872). William and his wife Mary Ann (Adis) Scott are both buried in the Rush Cemetery, White River Township, Johnson County, Indiana.
Thanks for your work.

Were George and his first wife divorced ? It would appear so, but I never did know. Your Silver goes back to 1637 in the US and he was born in 1622.

Jasper Page
I'm sorry -- Benjamin is buried at Homewood Memorial Gardens, but his son, Jasper Page, is buried at Beverly Cemetery in Blue Island, Cook, Illinois. (I have seen Jasper's death certificate as well which indicates the cemetery for him). Can you please add Beverly Cemetery to Jasper's memorial? Thanks again : )

Benjamin F. Page - 65331922
Hi Roberta - You have a memorial for Benjamin F. Page (died 1912) and you don't have a cemetery for him. He is actually buried in Homewood Memorial Cemetery, Cook, Illinois. I have his death certificate which states he was buried in Oaklawn Cemetery. This cemetery became Homewood memorial. His son, Jasper Page, is also buried in this cemetery, by the way. Can you please add the cemetery to Benjamin's memorial? I'll also send you more info. Thanks!

RE: Peter & Anna Setbacken
It was my pleasure. My parents farmed north of Lake Preston from 1936 to 1984, and I know that they talked about the "Setbackens". I was taking photos of some of my relatives' graves, and thought I'd see if I could solve a couple of the other "mysteries".

Glad I could help,

Pam Ferguson
We maintain this memorial because Clear's were members of our Friends Meeting (Winchester Friends Church in Winchester, Indiana)around 1955. They lived at Richmond at the time and evidently drove to Winchester to church. But that is all I know about them. We probably have some members who remember them. Helen was Clyde and Flora Addington's daughter.
