Somehow I lost your e-mail address. If you will send me a mailing address, I will send the letters Susan wrote to my mother.

Photo of a Cutler relative
I recently came across a photo of a Cutler relative of your husband's (Martin Pendergrass Cutler) that fought for the Union in the Civil War. Would you like a digital copy? I also sent a message to karenbink in Ancestry.com about the photo.

RE: Moore Family
The name Cecil Moore is not as common as Alfred or Thomas thus I did not try to track them.

Cecil signed the death certificate which reflected interment in Tucson at evergreen. I confirmed that Cecil was her son through the Federal Census and that the birth year was approximately that which the stone reflected.

I also tried to link her with him from her site and received a message stating that a change was in progress but I could not determine which change [parents vs spouse] so I went ahead and directed it from his site.

You're right. I found her death certificate. She married William P. Cooper in 1904 (found the marriage certificate), so she's listed as Rebecca J. Cooper, father Burris, mother Crowley. The informant on her death certificate was J.W. Lee.

The link is from John's page. His parents were named John Lee and Rebecca Crowley, according to his death certificate. Her husband was named John W. Lee, according to census records. She married him in 1890 and didn't have children, so it can't be right.

Myrtle Sprowls Curtis
I am looking for information on my great aunt, Myrtle Sprowls Eaves Curtis, 32097587. She was the daughter of Edwin Moses Sprowls and Fannie B Williams. She was born 14 Aug 1890 in Gibtown, Jack County, Texas and died 6 May 1924 in Houston, Harris, Texas. She was living in Bay City, Texas at the time of her death. J L Curtis who was also living in Bay City, Texas signed her death certificate, i am guessing he was her husband.
She was first married to William Robert Eaves and divorced sometime after the 1920 Census. She would have married Curtis after the 1920 Census.
I am looking for any information on J L Curtis. I have nothing on him. I don't think he was the son of Moses Curtis from Gibtown but I'm not sure.
She is buried beside her parents in Gibtown Cemetery.
Do you have any information or clues?

Fortune Website
Yes...I did see the website, but I was looking at the Bridgwater/Close/Weddington side rather than Bishops. I'll have to take another look. The Bishop's I was looking at were in CT just prior to 1888/1889. I have a record of everyone at the Kinderhook IL baptist church in 1888/89 from a quilt made by the baptists ladies aid society...probably auctioned/sold to raise money. It has 419 names stitched into it..along with where they are from. I have many Andrews on the list (from the Andrews/Colvin/Sprague family of Pike..Andrews from CT)and many Bishops of Conn. I'm not certain of any connection...just folks in the same place and time from Conn. If you ever think this might be useful for research let me know. I've spent time on the list and I'd be happy to have it put to use.

your husbands BISHOP side
Are the Bishops in your husbands line from Pike IL? I've been looking into the Andrews family of Pike from CT. I believe they're assoc.with the Bishops of CT and Pike IL. ...been trying to find the link between the two.

I noticed that you manage a memorial for this family. Are you related? Peter Folger, also from Nantucket, was my 8th great and also was Benjamin Franklin's grandfather.

RE: Shared Webb Headstone
Nedra, if The Old Genealogist manages her memorial, he's the one who wrote the note. You can try an e-mail to him and see where he got the information.

Nedra, it was Highland. A local genealogist compiled books on Highland and all but a half dozen other county cemeteries. In his notes for Mary Webb, he has a comment that a nephew, Claude Jennings, stated she was buried in California. The note doesn't indicate where in California or when she died.
