RE: Julius/Edith
I haven't linked them yet to my husband's family but I assume they are distantly related as the majority of Maquon Cemetery is related to him. I am working on the entire cemetery right now so may link them eventually but no need to transfer.
I am going to send a note to Donna White tho as she added a flower and note so she may be related.

thanks DHutson

I have found your Julius #142027388 and Edith #142026859 at Maquon IL cemetery. I had just created memorials for them and was researching to connect family when I came across your unknown burial memorials. I will delete mine and add the pix to yours. Please update them with location.
Thanks DHutson

Thank you for your quick reply. I appreciate your research and that you added the information. I knew the story but not the facts. Although he is my Great Grandfather, you do not need to transfer to me. I no longer live in the area and it is good to know someone is checking. However,I have updated his familial information as I have finally found his family in Sweden. I know one of his siblings came to Fulton County: August Swanson. He married Rachel Pringel. They are buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton. Again thank you for your research.

John Swanson (Sven Johan Jonasson Svensson
Thank you for posting the obituary for my Great Grandfather John Swanson (born Sven Johan Jonasson). I have a copy of the inquest but never found an obituary. Would you mind sending me the source? The information given is what I had been told but have never found in writing previously.

Also I apologize for adding more information without contacting you first but I did originate the post

For those who read this and do not know early Swedish naming practices until sometime in the early 1880's, a male used his father's first plus son for his last name and a daughter used the first name + dotter (Swedish spelling of daughter. In the early to mid 1880's families started keeping the last name their father used and it became law.

Thanks again Ruth

Memorial # 134278524 - I was wondering if you could help me. The gravestone says wife of Frank Alter. All the records in Ancestry indicate she married Frank Porter (marriage records and census'). Can you shed any light on this? All other information appears to be the same (parents, etc). Thanks for your help. Carol

Thomas Vandecar
Please note that Thomas Herman Vandecar, memorial 134843773 is the son of my 4th great aunt Alvira Brown Vanderkarr. His father's name is Hermanus Vanderkarr. Over the years the spelling of the last name has taken on different spellings. I have documentation written by a member of the Brown family that documents Alvira's marriage to Hermanus and their children's names.

Thank you.

RE: Hadessa and Mathias Bear
You said in reply to my SAC about your duplicated memorial:

"Yes, I see the duplicates as the first one was put in with initials. However, the contributor has passed away and can't make changes of the correct name, dates or the obituary so the duplicates will remain as I have entered more information for their descendants to locate."

My reply to your April 28th posting:

My request to merge your information on the duplicated memorial to the original memorial was done today. You were given credit for the information. You reply to the SAC was enclosed in the request.

There is only one memorial for a grave site.

You can do edits to names, dates, relationship links, marker transcriptions, and other stuff. If the member doesn't respond in 21 days to your request, the edit is automatically done for you. If you want something added to the bio section The edit tab is on the upper right corner of the memorial.....and the memorial manage doesn't reply, send it to "EDIT" at

There is no reason for making a duplicated memorial. All duplicated memorials are merged into the originals....eventually.

Thank you for your response. Do you know if there is any obituary that might be available for her that I could locate? I have but nothing in there and I saw she was too early for the online death records. I am trying to verify her parents.

Frederic McJunkin
I have just viewed your entry of my Uncle Fred Mc Junkin's memorial. You stated that you tried to get all of Della Nett McJunkin's children attached to Fred. In order to make this message short, I will invite you to view my NETT - PERKINS FAMILY TREE. Go to my tree and call up Fred or Della Mae Nett. View Della's marriages and list of children. Two children are Brasher, six are McJunkin. All these children are listed with correct parents in the NETT - PERKINS FAMILY TREE in Della's list of children. Sincerely, Ethel Shafer

Roy Cooper #79802664
Hello, You have added several FFHR records for my ancestors, which I appreciate very much.

I am curious if you might have records for Roy Cooper. He was born 1889; died Oct 16, 1925 at Peoria State Hospital, Limestone twsp. Peoria, IL. His death cert. lists "Ziegler Co. Peoria" as Undertakers, and I thought he could possibly have been transferred by Zieglers to the local FFH for burial in the Fulton County Zion Cemetery, near Fairview, IL.
(Roy's father is William Henry Cooper, whose record you have added.)

Thank You very much for your time and and work!

Yes, I noticed your reference to the conflict. I do realize that you put in a lot of work on the memorial--sorry! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound judgemental. I simply wanted each party to realize the duplication. Again, I apologize if I sounded inappropriate in any way!

I am related--distantly. I found the problem in the course of my research. You may transfer the memorial to me if you wish. I only wanted the record to be accurate.

James McCance
Please note that your memorial for James McCance in Pleasant Point Cemetery appears to be a duplicate. In 2011 another member posted Find A Grave #68503295 in Bushnell Cemetery. Actually, there are two duplicate memorials in Bushnell. I have contacted those two members in order to get the matter cleared up. Thanks!

If you would, I would appreciate if you would delete the family photo. As you can see that photo is showing in a newspaper article. I would like to add her tombstone, but can't do because of the number of photo's. If you will remove would you also request a photo for her, so that her tombstone may be added. Thanks in advance.

I have found another piece of information in the photo section that you left for this memorial.

If you would PLEASE use the EDIT tab I would be glad to enter the information for you. I have several thousand memorials on Find A Grave and I cannot visit them often.

I have tried to type them exactly as you have written them, but they don't always space right.

Please just use the EDIT tab or send the information in an email.

Thank you for the information.
